X1 - the X1 has been out in the US market since 2013. And has been in the EU market since 2009. -
New Car for the Wife: BMW X1 or Audi Q5 - WWCRD?

Wow - didn't expect the love for the Q5, TBH. A couple of things. - I do realize the X1 and Q5 are in different classes. The Q3 is so small inside that it isn't in the running for us. - We have driven at least 15 different vehicles, and she likes the X1 and the Q5, but can't decide where to go. She didn't like the CR-V or Highlander. - Also she doesn't like Jeep's - I was trying to push the Grand Cherokee some, but she didn't like it. -
Looking for a new car for the wife, and these are the two she likes the most. The X1 we are looking at doesn't have the M Sport package. The Q5 is the Premium Plus. WWCRD?

No. I am not sure how Charter manages their DHCP scopes. When I was in the RDC we just assigned space as needed to different DHCP Servers. If no upgrades were in an area you would see the same space used for years. They may have chose 24.92 for a reason, or maybe recycled it from an older pool/cmts.....who knows except for them, and tbh it doesn't really matter.
-
24. space is old for TWC. We used it a bunch when I worked there. 24.92 was allocated to TWC in 2000..... Been a long time 24/8 was set aside by ARIN for Cable Operators, back in the 90's.

I have my garage heated up here in Alaska, it is a 4 car garage and I have one of these units: http://www.modinehvac.com/web/products/residential-gashydronic-unit-heaters-hotdawg.htm It is a ceiling mounted Nat Gas unit, that is hooked up to a Thermostat in the garage. Keeps my place warm as can be around 65-70 degrees.

If you're serious - I am glad he got his life straight and worked out, but just because it wasn't a thing maybe when he was doing it, doesn't mean it isn't a thing now. I still don't doubt that it is something groups of people would do/try.
-
How do you know it isn't a thing? Do you know everything there is to know? I would honestly tend to believe it is a thing.

The curved one can't do upscaling or HDR on the HDMI ports or something like that IIRC. Only the Flat ones would upscale/HDR on the built in HDMI ports.

I bought my LG OLED a few months back - best money I have spent. Don't go curved on the LG OLED though

In short - VLANS don't 'tunnel' anything. VLAN - means Virtual LAN. All it does it drop a 4 byte VLAN ID on top of every Frame when it enters the network. To configure it depends on the network hardware in place. In the Cisco world - you build a VLAN 'vlan <vlan_id/#>' and then name 'FOO' then an interface/port as 'switchport mode trunk' and then a 'switchport trunk allowed vlan <vlan_id>' . At the end of the day - VLAN implies Layer2 before IP. To route between VLANS - you need a router or a routing device of some kind (Router/Layer 3 switch)

So you are saying people can't change during their life? That they are exactly the same way they are in High School forever?

This video made me think of this thread

I understand. I guess I was trying to state that when doctors assume someone who says they have a high pain tolerance actually doesn't it can hurt the patient to some degree. My wife has had the same surgeon for her orthopedic issues for 16 years now. In fact other surgeons and doctors will flat out refuse to see or touch her. FWIW - she sees Dr. Dror Paley - http://www.paleyinstitute.org/ He is the best, in my opinion, Orthpedic/Deformity correction surgeon in the world. I would say the simple fact he has treated patients, and has people traveling from almost every country on the planet to see him supports this. Honestly - according to my Podiatrist it is a simple surgery - just one that general surgeons don't often do. She did my ankle and plantar fasciotomy in less than 2 hours. I would never suggest anyone get the plantar surgery....it is an absolute waste. I agree canceling at the last second is bush league. That would frustrate the living hell out of me. I also think though a lot of people feel a pressure when in the doctors office to make the decision that very moment. Most doctors from what I have seen with my wife and myself, present 1 side to the story. They don't often say "Well if you put it off for a year it won't hurt anything". It is always lets fix it now. I think this leads to people prematurely committing to surgical procedures, or other procedures in general. I don't know how I feel about your response here, TBH. I have never had any issue scheduling a surgical procedure for my wife, or my procedure. I think medicine as a whole is kind of a sales pitch, to some degree. Yes it is your health, and life, but at the same time if people aren't going to the doctor, or getting procedures done then we don't need as many doctors and surgeons. From what I recall this is always one of the arguments to things like Single Payer Health System, etc... Is that doctors don't want to practice, because they make a fixed amount or less than they do in an insurance driven market. I was told because it was "soft tissue" that X-Ray and MRI weren't entirely clear what was wrong. It "looked" like the tendon and ligaments had torn, but it was hard to tell for sure. I would say on my wives surgery as well this has been the case. Her Ortho doc will just start "doing his thing" once he gets in there. I realize it isn't optimal, and not the ideal thing to do, but it is done quite frequently in medicine. Doctors every day are taking educated guesses at what is wrong...and when it doesn't work they try the next most logical thing. This is why people unfortunately die in medical care, because they don't assume it is this super rare/uncommon condition, and are treating based on probability. Medical places/Doctors get sued every day for refusing to run the proper tests because they cost to much, etc....

I got the same response from my other general surgeons and doctors when I told them I was going to a Podiatrist. Most general doctors from my experience tend to think of them as being like Chiropractors. Just what I saw with my specific issues. That being said - All professional athletic teams have Podiatrists on staff for Foot/Ankle injuries of all kinds. My podiatrist does surgery for the Semi-Pro Hockey Team up here in Alaska, and also the college hockey teams. She was one of the few who said she could do it without hardware - which was my big thing. Most wanted bone anchors in my ankle and other stuff. YMMV - but this is why I would always say get at least 3 opinions with one of them being a specialist in the body part/area you are having surgery on. You wouldn't go to a general surgeon for brain surgery, now would you?

My wife has had 28 Orthopedic Surgeries over the course of 16 years. She is permanently on Fentanyl, Morphine, and several other drugs to help with her pain. There is nothing more annoying than going to a doctor/surgeon who won't listen to her about her pain. We had a nurse try to put in IV in her nearly 30 times - and then had the nerve to tell her that her pain tolerance was low, because on time 25 she got pissed. I don't know you, either personally or professionally, but if you got annoyed by the fact that I want to seek a second opinion for anything being done to my body, I would never come back to you. I have gone to 7 doctors and been told 7 different things were wrong with me. For the most part even surgeons will say "We just have to wait and see when we get in there". I understand the situation you guys are being put in, and respect what you have to say, and your opinion. Sadly there are too many doctors out there who are just guessing, for lack of better terms. To counter your statements about Flying/Dentistry - You haggle with almost anyone who does sales and makes a living on commission. Seeing a doctor to some degree is nothing more than their commission. If no one is seeing the doctor, and the doctor is doing procedures, they may not have a job, especially in a private practice. It goes both ways. To the OP - I had surgery recently on my ankle - I tore 2 ligaments and a tendon. After seeking about 5 opinions and trying PT, I decided surgery was the only way to fix it. I went to a Podiatrist who specialized in ankle repairs, and said she could do the surgery without using hardware, which is what 3 of the 5 doctors said I would need. I spent some extra money finding who I didn't want to use - but for the fact I don't have hardware in my ankle it was 500% worth it.

It is pretty normal. The Cable Node is powered by commercial AC line power. This is the last/lowest priority when restoring power. It is common for commercial line power to take additional time to be restored after a power outage. I used to get this question all the time when I worked at TWC

Did you pick that up from the Ford dealer? I was thinking about putting a pre-order on one, but I want to really drive it before dropping that kind of coin

Is it really going to be worth the $36K MSRP price? The front is kid of meh. http://www.ford.com/cars/focus/trim/rs/

Sorry to hear about this Bill. Hang in there, and things will start to turn around for you -
Number of hops doesn't really mean much. That being said - TWC is likely peered better than WoW, as they have more money and also operate their own National Backbone. TWC doesn't Throttle at all. Or at least didn't when I left the Engineering Group there (2011).
