Been out to California for training and stuff and while the weather was nice, I just could not live there. It is crowded, expensive, people are rude, traffic is insane at all times of the day, and walk down Venice beach once and you will instantly feel better about yourself. I also tried In and Out burger a few times and while it was a really good burger, I think the fries were really the high point. IMHO Jack in the Box had better food.

I got subscribed to XM for a month in my car, and after about 3 days I turned it back to local radio. Sorry to disappoint the pay radio nut swingers but it blows donkey balls and I will just save my money for better things.

I have had an 01 Yukon Denali since 04 and never had any major problems with it. Only big thing I have replaced is the O2 sensors. The 6.0L is an awesome motor and if your nice to it can get decent mileage considering the size of the mass it is hauling. Does great in the snow and blizzards we have gotten out here in South Dakota. If I were to ever trade it in it would only be for a newer one and even then I would hesitate since it has been such a great truck.

How much do you know about the Military's health care system? Because anyone that has dealt with it will know that article is just a lame attempt to anger the uninformed. Basically he did not go through the proper procedure to have that type of surgery done. You have to get approval from a military doctor or Tricare agent in order to have any kind of procedure done. Granted you can visit an emergency room in an emergency situation but must report that you went ASAP. Now in this situation he went and had the procedure done without getting authorization, yes he was at risk of losing his leg, but he would still need approval before he can go to someone else. All it would have taken would be a phone call from the doctor he went too to get the ball rolling. Your health insurance would work the same way, they have their doctors they go through and if you want to go through someone else you need your insurances approval or you may be stuck with the bill. As far as what he had to pay for being the IV treatments, again if he does not get prior approval for any treatment he could be forced to pay. Yes it sucks but as long as you follow their guidelines you can pretty much get everything paid for.

My best memory of CR involves Kenny, back in the Radio Shack days and we would race out by the farm equipment area up by Dublin (can't remember roads there anymore lol I need to come back to Columbus). One night Kenny was out in his Cark and I had my IROC so we lined them up. We were neck and neck the whole race not either car was giving up an inch, then I made a fatal 2-N shift and could never recover. We never got a chance for a rematch like planned because a few weeks later my IROC was totalled on Sawmill by an F-150. That was the last CR race that car was in, and to me was one of the more epic races of early CR.

I regret that I won't be able to make it to any of this and I know I will regret it till the day I die. When I Cark is finished there should be a cruise with it as the lead vehicle, and I will do everything within my power to make that cruise with the GN.

Man this is just all too crazy. I am still in complete and utter shock and have been in a fog since Rick told me this morning about it. Kenny was a great guy and a wealth of knowledge, if I ever had a problem with my car Kenny was the first guy I would go to for advice and he always had an answer. I had not talked to him in person or on the phone in years and was planning on calling him later this week since it had been so long, and now I feel terrible for not doing it earlier. Kenny was who got me into Buicks and without his advice I don't know if I ever would have gotten it to where it is now. We would spend hours chatting online after I first got it just talking cars and trading advice when he owned his Talon. In recent years though we talked less and less and now I can't help but regret that. Kenny is and will always be a CR OG and Icon a reminder of how great this place used to be. He will be missed by anyone who read even just a single unique post of his. Rest in Peace Kenny, and sorry for calling you Bobby Hill all those years. Anything I can to from this great distance to help with the LC2 Cark in anyway please let me know, I have spare parts laying around that I would be more than happy to donate.

Only $15 million from what I read is being used for security. So that's 10% of the $150mil where is the rest going? I see this cost going up though because the $15mil is what was spent before Bush instated the emergency basically giving the Dem controlled Congress unlimited funding for this thing. Sorry but preaching change and how he is gonna turn the economy right around and be our savior and yada yada yada, then he is gonna dump $150mil of tax dollars on his inauguration just kinda seems to set the tempo for what he is gonna do for this country. So Bush spent $50mil and Dems got all pissy about it, and he racked up $10 trillion is debt, so would it be safe to assume Obama will rack up $30 Trillion?
