Thanks for all the help guys...controler- I bought a multimeter and after some time found the wires I needed. Ford radio wires are about as screwed up as they come. Thanks again...I owe you a cold one!

I am doing a cd player install on my 2000 Mustang. It has a factory amplifier which I have bypassed. I have all the speaker wires hooked up to the cd player's harness, but for the life of me, I cannot figure out which wires (in my car) are the ground, power, and constant power (for the clock etc.) I am pretty sure that the black/grn stripe is the ground, but I am stuck on the other two. I have a haynes manual (which really has been no help)and I have searched all over the internet for wire color diagrams, and I am stuck. Can anyone give me a hand or point me in the right direction? I'll owe you a beer or something at Hooters. What I have found is that the 12 volt ignition should be a thin black wire, and the 12 volt battery should be green with black stripe. Still can't find those anywhere. Ahhh!! Help!!! Thanks...Mike

Man, there are some people on this board that can get fired up pretty easily...obviously he is joking, just like you are joking about painting your car. Maybe we need to get a sarcasm smiley face or something for people who take things a little to personally....
