Charleston is a horrible city (mainly cause my ex-wife lives there) but not a whole lot you can do, there arent really any beaches there.

AWD is a waste, it is an extra 200 something pounds, and slows you down and prevents you from controlling the car. NASA doesnt use AWD, so it should be removed from all cars, I know a great shop that will do 2wd conversions.
