  1. Forgive the overhead view, this was an old google image of the house when it was still being used by the previous owners. This is a very rough idea of what I have in mind for the patio area. We have two exterior doors going from the laundry area and from the garage (in red) that would be the main entry to the patio from the house. I may make adjustments to the deck to add a set of stairs that face towards the patio area as well. http://www.columbusracing.com/forums/picture.php?albumid=919&pictureid=7949
  2. Joe, sorry I missed your reply here. Man, isn't that the truth. These wind storms mixed with 50 or so poplar trees makes for never-ending yard maintenance. Poplar would have been the LAST tree I would have planted, but they're cheap and they grow fast, so I can understand why they did. We are definitely on a well, and I'll be looking at shocking it in the Spring along with treating the septic. We've been recently looking at the whole-house generator options as we're solely on electric out here. Appreciate the suggestions, for sure!
  3. Great minds think alike! We're thinking of doing something similar to this in the backyard, but with maybe not such an elaborate fireplace setup. http://www.columbusracing.com/forums/picture.php?albumid=919&pictureid=7947
  4. Ha...yeah, really. We kinda lucked out with this place. The attached is 28'x28' with a separate 24' x 16' boat garage (or barn as we call it) with connecting 22' x 16' one car. The "barn" is unfinished with a gravel floor and front & rear barn doors for drive-thru parking. This space has a lot of potential as the roof trusses are nearly 12'. The one car has a concrete floor and also is a nice space that we are using for lawn equipment and misc storage. Neither of these spaces have electric or insulation as of now. Sooner or later there will be. At least now, I have a dedicated space where I can continue work on my bike project (that has been pretty much ignored for the last couple of years). No fear though, those benches get lots of use as it is.
  5. Hoping so. I've already added a number of new woodworking tools including a wood lathe to turn table legs and misc other items. Just have to get everything set up in it's own spot.
  6. Uploaded a few shots of the dining room table I built. The wood is tongue and groove flooring from an old farm house that was salvaged. Ripped off the T&G, installed pocket holes, and glued and clamped the boards together, then added 6 coats of shellac. The table measures 98" x 45" and seats 10. http://www.columbusracing.com/forums/picture.php?albumid=919&pictureid=7938 http://www.columbusracing.com/forums/picture.php?albumid=919&pictureid=7939 http://www.columbusracing.com/forums/picture.php?albumid=919&pictureid=7940 http://www.columbusracing.com/forums/picture.php?albumid=919&pictureid=7941 http://www.columbusracing.com/forums/picture.php?albumid=919&pictureid=7942 http://www.columbusracing.com/forums/picture.php?albumid=919&pictureid=7943 http://www.columbusracing.com/forums/picture.php?albumid=919&pictureid=7944 http://www.columbusracing.com/forums/picture.php?albumid=919&pictureid=7945 http://www.columbusracing.com/forums/picture.php?albumid=919&pictureid=7946
  7. We're really enjoying it so far. Not a ton of local options regarding dining and activities, but all of that is only 15 minutes away, so we don't mind. Plus, that was kinda the point for us.
  8. I had the album set to private (only mods can see). It's now public.
  9. No plan for the driveway in the foreseeable future honestly. We'll see how this winter goes and let that determine if I change my mind on that though. There were exactly 101 trees on 1.48 acres till I did some trimming with my new Stihl MS170 (funny the new tools you have to buy when you move out of town).
  10. Thanks again to Greg for finding this house! We closed July 18th and have been knee-deep in projects since we moved it. I just wrapped up a kickass dining room table right in time for us to host Thanksgiving. http://www.columbusracing.com/forums/picture.php?albumid=919&pictureid=7930 Attached garage is 28' x 28' with 9'6" ceilings. http://www.columbusracing.com/forums/picture.php?albumid=919&pictureid=7931 http://www.columbusracing.com/forums/picture.php?albumid=919&pictureid=7932 Great workbench and storage cabinets, but they're all getting torn out because they were constructed out of MDF and moisture got to them all, so they've swelled and developed mildew. http://www.columbusracing.com/forums/picture.php?albumid=919&pictureid=7933 Getting the workbenches, welding table, fridge and garage stereo set up. http://www.columbusracing.com/forums/picture.php?albumid=919&pictureid=7934 http://www.columbusracing.com/forums/picture.php?albumid=919&pictureid=7935 My 4'x8' main workbench/assembly table that I built for the cornhole boards pretty much gets swallowed up in this space. http://www.columbusracing.com/forums/picture.php?albumid=919&pictureid=7936 I'm hoping to do an acid stain application on the garage floor next year along with giving the walls a fresh coat of paint. But the next addition is a heater. :fuckyeah:
  11. 628 yards, 628 yards, 628 yards Color me not impressed
  12. I'd be all over this if I were closer to my lease end. Great looking truck.
  13. Still for sale peeps. Would be great for a basement area or larger living room.
  14. Thanks Chris! Looking forward to getting it set up and making some sparks!
  15. Is it still available? I can pick up tomorrow after 3pm
