i don't know what the fuck your talking about that someone can't assemble a motor. i know of two totally different sti's making power in the 600's built by the same guy and have'nt had any problem. and they see the dragstrip alot, i know for a fact that your buddy with the sti called a friend of mine and was asking "how do i turn up the boost?" just this past week. and you expect everyone to believe that he did'nt turn up the boost? lets see, hes had the sti back for 5 weeks now, he's probobly been beating on it everyday for 5 weeks with no problems, he calls and asks "how do i turn up the boost?" and a couple days later it has a spun bearing.

i'm not really a big fan of the rx8, i really like rx7's but its just something about the 8's that just don't look right. my buddy justin lives up in mt vernon, he's the one that took those pics at one of dr. ricks meets. i just figured it was the same car for sale since you were from mt vernon. there is'nt to many turboed rx8's running around.

i was watching it also but i don't know what happened after he went down in the water. they kind of quit following the story so i went on to watching something else.

i'm going to try and make it up there this time.

sorry brian, i don't have any after shots nor do i want any. i just want his car back together as fast as possible and when it is, i don't ever want to think about this again.

john and i were at the track during a rental to make some passes to get both our cars dialed in for next weekends shootout. we had both made a few passes and he had allready made two 11.0 passes at 129.xx and decided to make his first pass on nitrous with the 35 shot jets in. he went 10.95 @ 133.8 and i was waiting for him to come back to our spot and then it hit me that nobody was going down the track and john was'nt back yet. then we seen smoke so we jumped in the car a flew down to the end of the track and got to him about the same time fire safety got there. john was opening his hood so they could put the fire out that was under there. he said that as soon as he went through at the end of the track he seen flames shooting out of the hood scoop and then he seen smoke and he knew it was on fire. he got stopped at the end of the track shut the car off to kill the fuel pumps then popped the trunk and turned the nitrous off as fast as he could and then said he was thinking to him self "where the hell is fire safety at" all he could do was watch it burn and feal helpless because he could'nt do anything about it. but he's is ok witch is the most important thing of all and it really did'nt do as much damage as we first thought it did for being on fire for 4-5 min witch is a good thing. he has allready started pulling parts off of it and i am going over to his house tomarrow and we are pulling the motor out. we have allready started searching for parts that we know we need so we can get it back together as fast as possible.
