  1. The 16T is a pretty big jump from the factory 12T. The 12T is only a 265cfm turbo... practicaly nothing. The 16T is a 435cfm... the 20G, 650cfm. The 14T housing can be machined to fit a Big 16G wheel... one person has done it already. After some research, i found that the 16G, 18G, and 20G all had the same exducer size, the inducers were different. So in theory, if i can machine the compressor housing enough, the 20G wheel should fit. I really want to keep the 12T side for 3 reasons... : 1. Its a factory fit... on Volvos, you cant beat that. 2. The spool time. 3. It will still look factory. In order to do this right, i have to preserve the cars factory appearence.

  3. Its a 16T. Im basically looking to rebuild this thing with a 18G or 20G compressor wheel/shaft. The trick is to keep the stock turbine housing for the quick spooling, but do a clip on the turbine wheel to raise the topend a bit. I just need to find a place with lots of parts so i can make it all fit
  4. I did some searching and didnt come up with a whole lot but i was wondering if anyone knows any good websites for mitsubishi turbo parts. I have this 16T here and im ready to gut the shit out of it and make a crazy turbo with it... just need parts Thanks in advance. -Schall
  5. Drag racing rule of thumb: "A quicker shift is always better than a shorter gear." Break that down. The quickest shift comes from an automatic. Automatics have much longer gears than manuals. Your best bet is to go with the longer gear. Turbo chargers make stupid amounts of torque on all engines except ones that say HONDA on them. Thus, why have tons of torque and only a lil bit of gear to use it in.... so you can do extra spectacular displays of no traction???? Use the longer gear, keep your tires planted, and use that torque longer.

Everyday can be a free tutoring lesson if you listen and learn from the right people 95% of what i know about cars and engines, is from listening and learning from other people first hand... not from reading books and watching TV. If you can find a group of intelligent individuals in the right areas... youll learn more than school can ever teach you.
  7. its 122... as stated abouve.... your math is the suxxor So since when does a Civic carry 640ci of iron under the hood??? A lot of Civic have 1.6L engines.

  10. even though i own this thread Your thinking of either a Subaru engine or a Porsche engine if your looking at 2.0L engine with 4 cams. Two pistons go one direction, the other two go the exact opposite direction... Boxer engine. Each set of pistons has its own head, thus its own set of cams. So 4 total cams.
  11. like the old corvette Quad Cams, or the Mustangs with the 4.6L Modulars... i think Toyota has a couple... V motors that dont have push rods.

  14. If i had to venture a guess... id say its a dump tube for excess pressure from compressor tanks for the afterburner & air ride. Other than that, i see no other use for the damn thing.
  15. i have 5 other guys interested... trying to set up a meeting time with em. Also, if necessary, i can set up a delivery of Pizza, bread stix, wings, and soda again if everyone pitches in 3-5 bucks.

  17. What time does this start. Im coming for sure, but i need specifics for some other Volvo guys that are thinking about coming. Somebody needs to bring a big thing of compressed CO2 so i can spray down my intercooler before the runs
  18. my best trick was the 3/4 front brake squeeze into a reverse-twisting, barrel roll face plant... and extra points for the asphlt slide on the end
  19. yea im thinking of making a basic pan chassis with a Lifan 200cc dirt bike motor... should be pretty damn quick.
  20. i do a fantastic impression of the civic in that video I do a great number of true to life car engine sounds... my best of which is a Dodge Viper (to the note!) but can immitate just about anything with decent accuracy. I play tricks on people at work and make a sound and they all start looking out the windows
