John, im hookin ya up man.... http://www.osakajdmmotors.com/honda/b16a1/index.html
  2. +1 He was like... ZOOT IYA!
  3. yea me and andy used his Legacy to pull my Z24 out of the snow multiple times... and i used the Z24 to pull him out several times too smile.gif
  4. Well in that first run they were slowly running me down and i was at about 120-125. So they were moving pretty good.
  5. i was just burning up gas. I hung in there though. Although... kicking down 2 gears, and sporting the itty bitty 12T wasnt making the 50mph rollons very easy for me
  6. waoh waoh waoh... since when is 10:1 "HIGH"??? Dude just do the rings and besure to watch the mix. Your not going to tear up anything but driveshafts and tires. Your best bet is to run a second fuel line from a secondary fuel cell... like a 1 or 2 gallon, and fill it with some 100 octane or somethin like that. Use an inline pump, and inject that into the wet side of the nitrous nozzels. Do a direct port so your not getting a "hot" cylinder. Youd be surprised how awesome and powerful nitrous can be wen set up properly and tuned finely.
  7. After 2 hellish years with Pizza Hut, im calling it quits. I got tired of all the BS and run arounds i was getting about the promotion i wanted and deserved. So... I need a new job. I do have a HS diploma, 5 semesters at DeVRY in EET, moderate computer skills but can learn very quickly, exstensive mechanical ability, can sort of use a MIG welder but need practice, great customer service skills, 2 yrs experience with sales (electronics, home goods, jewelry/diamonds), loss prevention/cash control specialist, 2 yrs restaurant management, 2 yrs retail management, over 10yrs of engine building/assymbly experience (specialize in GM 2.4 TC), have extremely reliable transportation, and can learn how to do just about anything within a day or two.
  8. What if your insureence broker happened to be at the track that day
  9. ahhhhh poor car. I saw brake lights too... bad idea. Probably a little over correction too. High speed recovery is a tricky business. Whats up with everyone spinning out? First i did it and tore up my front end, then Matt did it and destroied his focus, now this guy bangs up his stang at the track.... I keep watching it and as rediculous as it sounds... it almost, ALMOST, looks intentional. Back to GT4...
  10. incredible. Ive never seen a M# GTR strung out before... let alone twice. That one real long straitaway... i can only imagine the drafting battles going on there.
  11. That guy can definatly drive... got more balls than me. The fastest drivers make the exact opposite motions as thier cars... very quick, slopy, and jerky, while the cars line is actully quite fluid and smooth. Very interesting phenominon... I didnt believe it untill i watched Danny Popp drive his Vette last year... inside the car he was all sorts of squirlly, but the car itself was just on one of the smoothest lines id ever seen.
  12. Its a minivan... it is not a joy, to RIDE. I do hate that though.

HERES HOW TO GET STARTED EASILY!!!!! Start off with a 97/98 Civic Type R. Race the begining races untill you get enough to buy the stage one turbo kit, or wait a lil longer to buy stage two. If you wait, its actully easier. After adding the stage 2 kit, add more mods to the civic untill you hit about 300hp... i was at 298. Race all the Civic races in the Honda dealership section. Once you win them all, you get the Mugen Civic Race car. Its worth 94k and change. After that, buy an EvoVIII GSR, stage 3 turbo kit, and all that fun stuff untill you have about 500-525hp. Now race all the first Japan championship set of races and you win the 350Z Concept LM Race Car. Once you have this car, the game is almost too easy.

Start small... civics, integras, miatas, 240's, things like that. Then jump to the Evos or Sube's. After that... alls fair. Its the same in every game.
  15. Well before i do anything, im going to fork out for another ECU. That way i dont have to just look at my car just sitting there. Im deffinatly useing Upsolute... ill probably just drive there smile.gif
  16. No. Yes. The Volvo has 9:1 compression. It also uses the Seimens 2000 ECU so piggy-backs... dont work, the ECU just overrides them. Eric - I dont know when exactly ill be moching(thanks for the spell chk) up the manifold, but i know i need to get some pipe, and a schotty flange first. Then i can take some measurements and do what i can to make it all go together. When i get that done, ill send it up to Brian and have him copy it out of 304SS or something of that nature and TIG it up all nice. He can do ceramic coating too so ill probably have that done. As soon as im ready to do it, ill get ahold of you and we can collectivly put a block-back system together.
  17. dang i thought it sounded pretty good... i guess we all have different preferences.
  18. Well, you havent known me long enough either smile.gif I dont like useing kits and stuff. I enjoy being original with what i use and how i go about making power. Ill be making my very own "mach" manifold from scratch, then sending it to a buddy of mine who can make it out of what ever i want. I dont like using adapters and things like that because when stuff is mass produced... 9 times out of 10, it gets slopy and the tolerences are wide. Im just stubborn like that i guess. Im looking for 300bhp/250+ lb-ft @ 29inHG or less. If i can get that... it will be plenty quick for me for a while... at least till i can pay a good portion of the car off anyway smile.gif
  19. Ill host it. Hit me up on AIM sometime and ill get it and put it on my server.
  20. I have had a couple EXTREMELY close calls... if i come out ill have a little input on this as well.
  21. First off... inHG is just like saying psi or Bar... its just a finer measurement to tune with. 1 Bar = 14.7psi = 29.5inHG Im used to measuring vacuum on NA engines so i just carried it over to boost pressure so i wouldnt confuse myself smile.gif Yes, when you presurize air, its gets hotter. I have a bigger, badder FMIC, but that wont do it alone. If you use a turbo that pumps more CFM(cubic feet per minute) of air, you dont need to pressurize it as much to get the same effect. Remember properties of fluid dynamics... the higher the pressure of a fluid, the lower the velocity the fluid moves thru a confined space. FYI - Fluid = ANYTHING that flows... liquids, gases, plasmas, etc. Now with engines, its all about air intake and exhaust gas VELOCITY. So, in order to increase both and make more power, you have to give up something.... spool time. So the trade off is more power, at less pressure but with higher lag. Im sure i can hook up some sort of alky injection to aid the process a bit further. Another reason i dont want to run higher pressure is the internals... id prefer not to crush the pistons. I dont want to open this thing up if i dont have to.
