  1. Thats heavy IMO too... I think they can make something lighter. Im sure theres a coupld hundred lbs they could rip out. Look at all this crap... not necessary: External Oil Cooler + Remote Oil Filler Kit MasterLube Accumulator System – Ecotec Engines Fire Extinguisher Kit Remote Brake Bias Adjuster Battery Master Switch Towing Eye Kit Sida Panel Kit SPA Microdash Datalogger Carbon Dash Kit Twin Bubble Windscreen FIA High Intensity Rain Light Options: Individual Seating Package Carbon Fiber Center Console for Individual Seating 3” Competition Seat Belt Pads Lighting Kit 12V Power Source Billet Aluminum Accelerator Pedal Passenger Footrest & Driver Deadpedal Billet Aluminum E-Brake Handle Blind Spot Mirror All that crap easily weighs in at over 100lbs. EASY.
  2. Reasons why I care about this thread. 1.
  3. I still say a 200lb tube frame (kart like), with a domestic 4 banger in it would run rather close to litre bikes in the 0-100 range.
  4. Not a chance. I'll be back to visit at some point, probably to do a couple of 10k runs, maybe a marathon next year. Im running 5 or 6 5k's a week in this altitude, in triple layers, and ive lost like 30lbs since ive been here. I havent felt this good in a while. Besides... there happens to be a female running around that has caught my attention
  5. The ones of us in the hotel room. Oh yes, I went there. DAH! :bangbang:
  6. Ive always liked Buells. Im happy to see that they are coming out with some new things. I dont think the problem is that they are underpowered... I think everything else is OVER POWERED. Is there really a need to have more power on your 600lb bike than in my 3100lb car? I think 100 to 150hp is PLENTY of bike for any roadway. If a Ninja 250 can do 110 with 28hp and my (previously) 250lb ass on it, than 146hp should be more than enough to get you in trouble in any state.
  7. Honestly, they need to develope a transport vehical, or a commuting vehical on a mass scale and make them as cheap as a Kia or a Hyundia. Let people keep thier turcks vans and SUVs for the weekend and what not, and put aout the 150 mile electrics for the work week. If you make a car that gets 25mpg get 40mpg... you have solved the over all problem... you just slowed its progress. If you take that Tahoe or Silverado and take it to 25-30mpg, youre still doding the same thing. Remove one part of the eqaution all together. Get rid of the commuter cars that just waste fuel that could still be used in the big trucks. What does a commuter really need? A radio and A/C right? Why cant me make a 1800lb car that has those things... light weight is going to increase the distance and decrease the current draw at the same time... The concepts and needs arent rocket science... I dont know why manufactures like GM pretend it is. Fact is, any of the garage engineers on this board could build a ground up or kit car style, Austin Cooper sized vehical in thier garage that had a radio and AC in it, and met thier daily commuting requirements for probably 10,000-12,000. Theres no reason why a productive mass producer like GM cant do it for less.
  8. You know the big problem with that statment? This already happend less than 10yrs ago. Here watch this... youll be amazed at what you dont already know. 10. You may as well have typed this: Further more, why have a Subaru engine code (the 2.5RS engine) as your name, which happens to be NA mind you, and come in saying you have turbo Honda? WTF is that all about? How did you get on this board?
  11. Countach's are still fucking sweet... even though you cant hardly see out of them. That tractor is BADASS I didnt know Ford was Italian I always said Mustangs were white trash ferraris, but damn... I was kidding.
  12. Of topic... you may have a BMF wallet in your avatar, but I have one for real. Me > you. :bangbang:

The property is undeveloped... basically a large area of plainland with long grass and view of some of the mountians. It has some protective covenants being created on it but its for the types of homes allowed on the property, basically banning a mobile home park. Manufactured and modular are allowed though. What I havent looked into yet is to see what zoning allows in the terms of parcel division... if its half acre or quarter acre, I may have to build my self a neiborhood. Its just another one of my outlandish thoughts that I'll probably never act upon... but, COS is expanding eastward pretty ferociously... and this land is only about 15 miles out.

Whats the average for Ohio? Im thinking of investing in some out here... I wont lie... I found 70 acres for $62,000.

  16. trans went out in 6yrs? thats fucked up.
  17. But what you have to understand is that some "3rd World" countries are in the development stages that the US was back in the 50's, but the technology has evolved making the growth almost exponential. India for example, not exactly 3rd World, but never thought of as an industrial nation, is spreading faster than a rash from a college campus whore. The rate of increase in thier oil demands went from less than one percent to almost five in only 3yrs. If the rate continues, its not all that far out of possiblity that it could match the US's current rate of 24%, in about 15yrs... not that far off. As it was explained to me by actual Indians, the middle class of India, up untill a couple of years ago, did not own a single car. Now, there are over 10 million cars on thier streets... mostly cheap chinese death traps. Fact of the matter is, there are loads of countries that are 20-50yrs behind us in development, and even if the super powers like the US, France, England, Germany (who already creates 25% of thier power strictly solar), Russia, etc. move out of the way in the oil consumption, within a decade, there will will be a dozen new countries right ibehind us to take our place and consume the same fossil fuels that we no longer use. Its a never ending cycle... like sharks teeth. One falls out, another moves up to take its place.
  18. Nothing to prove when you go fishing... just something to do. Its almost completely free fun. Besides initial investment, you dont ever have to pay to go do it. Underneathe all its fun and glory, its still a skill that you have to learn how to do well, and that if nothing else is the gratifying part of it.
  19. I thought thats why you got married...
  20. Theres a difference in being a fisherman, and being an angler. A Fisherman is a man of chance and long term gains. You can go out on a boat and troll or just sit and wait for any old fish to drop your favorite lucky bobber. An Angler forces a specific fish to bite. He/She also has specific behavioral knowledge of the specific fish he/she is hunting. An angler can easily catch more fish in a day than a fisherman, and more of the same type, if not all of the same type... and if its a survival situation, thats what you want. IMO, most exciting fishing you can do is Small Mouth Bass w/ and Ultralite rod (spincaster reel), and 2lb test line. Even the 1/2lb fish, feel big on that set up... and almost anyone can do it.
  21. I heard thunder for the first time out here and it was pretty intense. I think the combination of being upper atmosphere storms and deflection off the mountians, makes the thunder sound like fucking explosions. I called my sister to see if she heard it and said, yea, thats just thunder... i swear i thought a building dropped or something.
