  1. In the process of adding A/C to the FD. I am running a 3" aluminum HOWE radiator with 2 10" jeg fans zip tied on the front. I am going to call HOWE and see if I can get a shroud for the 2 fans. My question is will 2 10" single speed shrouded puller fans be enough to keep it cool with the condenser mounted in front or do I still need to run a pusher on the condenser?? Also I've noticed cars have rubber isolaters mounted between the frame rails and the radiator itself. Is it possible for the frame rails to flex enough and potentially put enough stress on the radiator to crack it if no isolaters are used??

About time you come to your senses and stop playing around with that ford junk!
  3. Cliffs???= MR2> race car????
  4. Does a hobby horse have a wooden dick??
  5. I linked you to pics of a ford 9inch and assume you have about 10 laying around so start fabbing it up!!!
  6. Car wouldn't run/idle after the head/cam/injectors so IPS had their tuner dial it in. I blacked out the IPS header and footer on the dyno sheet so no feelings were hurt!
  7. http://www.v8rx7forum.com/showthread.php?60035-FS-3-90-FD-Auto-Diff-low-mileage-4-10-Manual-Diff-High-mileage Kinda pricey
  8. I'd probably just put the bigger jets in
  9. Damn I'm suprised White hasn't appeared trolling in this thread!
  10. Car has 3.90 gear. I personally feel along with the consensus on this thread that the car should have made better power. O well it will get figured out!
  11. it was wired ass backwards when IPS dyno'd it,I asked if it was locked and they said it was.....Is it still possble for hptuners to lock the converter with the computer wired backwards??
  12. But would it be unlocked due to that wire seeing 0v constant when it needs to see 12v constant????
  13. Just thought of this, may be a dumb question but tank had the TQ converter wired ass backwards so it locked up when the brakes were applied and unlocked while driving. The damn thing was pushing through the brakes before I added a relay for the TQ converter wire. Would it be possible to lock the TQ converter through hp tuners with this wiring issue?? Have we found the missing link???
  14. http://www.ls1tech.com/forums/dynamometer-results-comparisons/766118-does-dyno-sound-right-385rwhp-trak-cam.html Made the EXACT same numbers but theres a catch, stock heads... hmmmmmm
  15. Your shop installed the heads before verifying that they were in fact correct as far as valve sizing, etc. Therefore I feel it was your fault. The question is how often does this happen and how would anyone really know without removing the heads????
  16. When I initially spoke with you guys about a head/cam package to put me in the 400 range you guys said not a problem and you'd be able to get me there! Well $3,000.00 later I'm still far from that number! When I question the dyno numbers I was assured by the tuner that those were great numbers especially the TQ. I appreciate everyones input on the forum. I sure hope when gearhead tears the motor apart your heads are "as advertised" because it sure would look bad to have another set returned, wouldnt it???
  17. calm down I kid i kid! I sure hope it's not broken!
  18. The lsX gods at IPS know the best way to effectively tune the vehicle to top performance so they went speed density, besides them being awesome I have no idea why. And jones I'll give u 2 spark plug wires off the car and still drag that A4 around 270!!!
  19. Long tubes wont fit with the 4l60e, car is a 93 FD. No idea why they went speed density. Heads are 243 I believe which are ls6 heads???
  20. Talked to IPS and they "claim" the heads have different springs then what is stated on their website which are made by associated spring and good to ~.690 lift. But year i'm getting a good bit of noise in the valve train.
  21. Erik's car made VERY similar numbers when using the same "sponsor" heads! It should be interesting to see what the verdict is when gearheadz tears into this mess!
  22. headers are stainless with 1.75" primaries and 3" collectors going into a 3"y then into a 3.5" catback and then finished off with a apexi muffler. Thank god for th apexi muffler or she would have put down atleast 20 less horse.
  23. I'm glad I'm not the only one who thinks theres a problem. The shop who assembled the motor and put their name on the heads assured me this was excellent power for the motor........ Are the 918 springs sufficient for .640 lift???
