Jury duty sucked. I went in at 9, sat around and did nothing, never got called to a jury. Waited until we could go to lunch, and then sat around until they let us go home, usually around 2. I also had to pay for parking every day I was there. Chris said he has been there for about 6 years, and teaches 9th grade English.

Right, but piston speed will vary depending on stroke and RPM. The piston speed in engine "A" could be 4000 at 7500RPM, and in engine "B" it could be 6300 at 7500RPM. All I want to know in this thread is piston speed limit.

When calculating a rev limit using piston speed as my determining factor, what do I want the piston speed to be? This engine will most likely have forged rods/pistons with a cast iron crank. As far as I know, there is not a forged crank available that I can afford. Is 4500 out of the question? It will have a 3.9 inch stroke. TIA.

Calm down Will, this is all for educations sake. He didn't mean anything by it. FWIW, if you run a 15.76, and then add a 150 shot, I estimate your time to be a 14.2. 99mph is about right for a 14.2, and if you had traction issues that 14.9 isn't out of the question. BUT, they do need a bigger budget to compete with other shows.

LMAO I bought a bag of those like 5 years ago. I thought it was one of the funniest things I had ever seen. Until I bought some of these: http://www.lacasa.es/web/conguitos/images/conguitos/img_conguitos.jpg We got them in Spain. They came with a keychain of the little character.
