Our state legislature has also passed laws in the very recent past eliminating benefits to live in partnerships, regardless of sexual orientation. The only thing I can think of as far as this goes... Perhaps if they let one student do it, then they have to either set very specific guidelines, or let anyone pose with a gun. That would open things up to quite a bit of questionable posing, not to mention even more possible lawsuits, in which case it is easier and better on the students to just not accept poses with any sort of material that is not allowed in school. While it seems unfair in this instance, it may be better for everyone in the long run.
