Of course the cost of the fund is passed onto consumers, but it's still voluntary to purchase telephone plans. IMO, people who have more expensive plans for more features paying a bit extra for those who honestly need help to have access to basic features is not a problem.
Since this has gotten a bit off topic, if you'd like to discuss this further, let me know and we can start our own thread dealing with the Universal Service Fund.
The current fund that pays for 'ObamaPhones' was implemented by Ronald Reagan, as a broader version of the program created in 1934, and was refined in 1996. It is paid for, in full, by telecommunication companies, and NOT tax dollars.

This is a well thought out post. We have good reason for having unions in this country, which was to protect workers from slave-like conditions. However, the unions have become a business exactly like the ones they are trying to protect workers from. It doesn't work.
Your post is opinion only, with no reference to any facts or information to back up said opinion, therefore it is worthless.
No problem. Cooking meat pulls the juices to the center, that's why they firm as they cook. Allowing them to rest properly allows the juices to flow back into the grain of the meat. Wrapping them in foil steams or 'sweats' the meat, making the OUTSIDE juicy.
A little butter on top while it's cooking makes a HUGE difference for a lean steak too. Fat holds flavor. That's why they wrap filet (lean) in bacon.
