It didn't work for me at all when I entered the code. For whatever reason last night it started playing faster...I'll keep an eye on it for the next few days. Usually all I get is a few seconds of video before it stops and tries to butter.

You are wrong and your advice is bad.

The more you do to try and reconcile issues with her and keep things civil, and out of court, the better for YOU when you GO to court. TRY TRY TRY first. You'll be better off. I never said close your door. Find two or three things that seem like compromise and offer them to her, i.e., no working on your car after 9 pm, or before 10am on Sunday, or whatever. Make something up. Write it down.

You should go over to her house and ask her what the ACTUAL problem is. Finding out what upsets her and being willing to work with her on a solution to the underlying problem may make your life in your subdivision much easier. I would walk across the street in nice clothes, introduce yourself and your family, and tell them you didn't move in to make enemies. You have a hobby that you'd like to pursue, and if her problem is hearing a car running and it's loud, offer to work on it at certain times, etc. It would be to your benefit to get along with her. If you're a super nice guy she might even forget about it altogether.

There are a couple of reasons for arguing. The first, for me, is to bring my point of view to someone else so they can see they're wrong. If this is not possible, I argue loudly so other people can see they're ignorant and I am smarter. If neither of these things will happen I stop arguing, and just tell people they're right, and they are happy in ignorance. Sometimes I am the other person in this scenario.

If Matthias Frisch made a lot of money due primarily or wholly from a video that he took which featured ONLY a single person, then it is only right that the person is entitled to royalties. If the video (or videos) that Frisch took were compilations of multiple people, then he'd be less likely to have a case. The fact that he's asking to have the videos removed is just so that he can say he gave the other guy a choice, and seeing how unlikely it is that the videos can be removed, the person being sued is more likely to cave.

Marc, it looks like the second (Jack Reacher) book I read wasn't the same as the second that came out. I don't think it matters. They're good, but unlikely that the main character would be put in such ridiculous situations time and again. Suspension of disbelief is needed. Entertaining.

I think it was while reading Pygmy that I realized all of Palahniuk's books were the same. It's a shame; I loved Choke, and Rant.

I finished the first Jack Reacher book earlier this week and I'm about to finish the second one. I also have The God Delusion but haven't dived into that one yet.

My flight out here I sat next to a very attractive Romanian IT architect for BMW, in town for a project in Hilliard, and on the long flight it was the curator for the Shakespeare Library in Washington DC. Both were also very interesting, and if you fly very often, you know the first one is a rarity.
