I said the BBB is worthless (which he knows, and that's why he suggested it), and I would recommend he go to the AG4Ohio website and report the dealership to the consumer protection division; because there is a difference in a situation where information was not disclosed, and an out-and-out lie. I told him the car was misrepresented and therefore constituted fraud/breach of contract. I felt the AG office should be involved as a mediator. He was pissed.

The owner of a used car must disclose by law a history of a salvage/rebuilt title and that's about it. It sucks, but they can tell you anything they want. I was told my car was a one owner local car, and when we got the new navigation DVD all the addresses were from NY/NJ (Manhattan area). Nothing can be done. Hell, Orion bought his GTO and the dealership COMPLETELY fucked him; they sold him what they said was a GM certified vehicle. They never completed the GM certified paperwork and he found out the car had been wrecked significantly, which made the car unable to be certified, and the warranty was void due to the previous damage. The smug dealer (Aaron Masterson from Dennis Auto) was a prick and basically said he could lie all he wanted. By the time we were leaving he lost the smug look on his face and threatened me with a lawsuit. I have a way with people.

As far as I have ever known, you may be ticketed for open container if you have an open 12 or 6 pack in the car. I agree it is bullshit. Your best bet, if you would really like to know, is to ask a police officer. I also believe that if it is in the trunk, he should not have received a ticket. Once again, I am not 100%, but I believe this is the case.
