Anyone here dealt with Lymphoma in their dog - UPDATE INSIDE
timmy43016 replied to TTQ B4U's topic in Dumpster
Great news. Keep the updates coming. -
I am a .40 fan. Better stopping power and is easy to acquire site picture after firing. Now...the older I get the smaller the caliber because it only takes 1 well placed shot to get the job done. Sold the .45's and moving down, but will always have my .40 (HK USP). Need a carry pistol and will grab a 9mm for that. Yes they cost a bit more than a 9mm, but when SHTF .40 was readily available when .22/9mm/.45 disappeared or tripled in price. Everyone has good points, but at the end of the day it comes down to personal preference. I personally prefer .40. It seems to be the best of both worlds between a 9 and 45. Hits harder than a 9 and easier to get back on target than 45.

Just meant I may have come off in the other thread as a dumbass or I may have interpreted it that way. I have been dying to shoot for weeks, but have not had any opportunities. Barring an untimely wifely decision over rulings...I am in for 11.
-
Despite the other thread fail, I would love to go!
-
Never mind. You mentioned 6.50 for match. Just commenting that is still expensive given the qty some of these people/sites require you to purchase. Pic looks good!
-
Surplus .50 is on the way out the door. You think .223 surplus is hard to find...wait until you try with .50. You will get lucky now and again finding it. 6.xx is still rough cost per round no matter how you slice it. Not busting your balls...I supported your buy. I still want to shoot it. Been since I was in the Corps that I had a chance to fire one. You still need to post pics.
-
So does a .50...10.00 per round and a hole the size of a bowling ball. Just sayin.
-
it was a joke. It is a scope with a fighter plane tracking system that auto locks targets.

Here...get this. http://www.gizmag.com/trackingpoint-precision-guided-firearms-scopes-digital/25264/

PS. I want to shoot it...

This. No cheap glass. This thing will beat the snot out of a scope and to use it for what it was intended...you will spend some cheese.

Anyone here dealt with Lymphoma in their dog - UPDATE INSIDE

I have lost a lot of dogs to Lymphoma. 2 boxers and 2 pits. Boxers, unfortunately are one of the most cancer prone breeds. My male boxer (4 yrs old) had the same symptoms you found with small pea size lumps in/around throat. Chemo was too expensive and the results expected were not going to provide much in the ways of fixing the issue. For all the dogs I had to make a tough choice and just give them prednisone and make them comfortable. Prednisone provides roughly 2 months of comfort like nothing is wrong as it will send cancer into remission. Once the dogs body gets used to prednisone it will come back 10 fold. Once they start taking prednisone it will come back. I just had to put down my male pit (also 4 years old) just last year. The lymphoma was aggressive and wrapped his spine and at was unable to walk. At that point I had to think about quality of life. We didn't know that is what he had as he was yelping because his elbow hurt...then it went away...then is appeared in another leg...when we took him to vet they gave him prednisone which fixed him right up, but unknowingly sealed his fate and chemo was no longer even an option. We did not find out lymphoma until a few weeks prior to me sitting with him until the end. We were told the chemo (from med vet) was a 5-15k expense (If I remember correct) and could not provide timelines for expectancy other than 2 months to 2 years. To someone else point...chemo is not hard on dogs like it is people due to concentration. We were told that Chemo is fairly mild in dogs reactions, but timing was all over the map. The absolute hardest thing to say was that I couldn't afford the chemo or justify spending that much for a dog when expected results were as grim as the diagnosis. That was the hardest pill to swallow because they are not just dogs, but a family member and one that I would kill to protect. You have a tough diagnosis and one that usually does not have a happy ending. Im sorry that you are getting hit with this as I have been there more than I care to and understand your pain. Just be there for her and give her tons of love. Remember she knows you love her too. I wish you the best. -
i like CRKT, but they dull easy. Its a solid knife though. They all have been tough.

That's a nice build bob.

I can teach you how to shoot with irons. USMC trained us very well on irons and I can provide you some pointers. We had to qualify at 500 yards with irons.
-
Only restriction is .50 bmg. For full auto/suppressor cans, as long as you have the AFT paperwork in case a ranger happens through...then your good.

There is always zanesville rifle club... I am a member and there is no fees or range officers...only need me to go with you. 100-300 outdoor range with 16 pro popup targets with a pit so others can pull targets if you want. Also has a pistol range with steel plates on the side of the hill. I just shoot plates or propane tanks from 200 or 300 (sight in on paper targets first). Irons are perfect out here. Usually only pros come out here and are training for camp perry shoots or they hold high master comps here (they only use irons anyway). Badass range. Really close to BR on route 60. They are closed Sat for cleanup, but I will go sunday. Will be early though...I mean like leaving at 7-7:30 range...Im an early bird and I have an install for work Sunday evening.

Nah TVP runs late into the year. I just text the owner a few days ago. We spoke maybe 2 weeks ago also so let me shoot him a text and see if he says anything.

No reply from him.

All day. I usually go to Thunder Valley. They have a 1k and a 1 mile for the Barrett's. I am in all day for long range. I usually just go by myself. Still fun... I run an LAR8 Elite Operator .308 in an AR platform with a vortex Vipr 20x 50mm scope. I still run 150 gr and just make minor adjustments for 1k. I sight in at 200 and adjust on mils for 1k. Blast... no pun intended. I was thinking about going Sunday...Football rules my saturday. I have never been to Raynors and would love to go. I know its just past Zanesville Rifle Club off rt 60.

I heart my PSA. Solid product and am surprised to hear your issue. Nice pistol you are looking at.

This post pains me to make. 2002 Mercedes E55 AMG 5.5L V8 60k miles This car is amazing and immaculate (non smoker as was previous owners). It has been maintained at MB dealerships since original purchase. I have full maintenance records dating back to purchase from every single thing done to this vehicle. This car carries a 2+ year extended warranty (transferrable to buyer) that covers everything on the car except cosmetic damages. Accessories: Parking assist Seat heaters Seat air conditioners Blue tooth Voice assist Comand unit – spoken navigation CD head unit 6 disc changer Tele aid Rain sensing wipers HID headlights only (safety lights are amber) This car was double waxed and left under a car cover most of its life. It may be an Ohio car, but it has never seen snow before and has been stored in garages during the winter. The interior is every bit as clean as the exterior. There is hardly any sign of wear on the driver seat and the other seats show little to no wear period. It was purchased new in 02 with EVERY option available including 1st gen parking assist. Every option in the car is in perfect working order although the Bluetooth phone acts up now and again. This thing is strong and very fast. This car has only ever seen premium fuel. I also have the upgraded chrome keyfab x2 for keyless entry. I have the original floor mats in great condition. All weather custom mats are in the car now. I have 3 sets of wheels and tires. There are the original monoblock stock wheels with good tread. The second set are SL 550 AMG 5 star wheels with a staggered offset of 245 in the front and 275 in the rear (just brake dust on the wheels in the pic as I usually wax the wheels since stock MB brake pads throw some serious dust). I have all original emblems and some different sets of 3 star wheels inserts also. I have 2 brand new rear rotors for when its time (just replaced brakes and the rears will last through the new pads no problem). I have a cloth car cover and sun shades for both summer and winter. Looking for $14,000 for car, all accessories, all parts, and 3 sets of wheels. http://i448.photobucket.com/albums/qq203/picasso007/2014-03-01143125.jpg http://i448.photobucket.com/albums/qq203/picasso007/2014-03-01143133.jpg http://i448.photobucket.com/albums/qq203/picasso007/Photobucket%20Desktop%20-%20Daedalus/2014-03-01143257.jpg http://i448.photobucket.com/albums/qq203/picasso007/Photobucket%20Desktop%20-%20Daedalus/2014-03-01143519.jpg http://i448.photobucket.com/albums/qq203/picasso007/Photobucket%20Desktop%20-%20Daedalus/2014-03-01143420.jpg http://i448.photobucket.com/albums/qq203/picasso007/Photobucket%20Desktop%20-%20Daedalus/2014-03-01143354.jpg http://i448.photobucket.com/albums/qq203/picasso007/Photobucket%20Desktop%20-%20Daedalus/2014-03-01143401.jpg http://i448.photobucket.com/albums/qq203/picasso007/Photobucket%20Desktop%20-%20Daedalus/2014-03-01143307.jpg http://i448.photobucket.com/albums/qq203/picasso007/Photobucket%20Desktop%20-%20Daedalus/2014-03-01143430.jpg http://i448.photobucket.com/albums/qq203/picasso007/Photobucket%20Desktop%20-%20Daedalus/2014-03-01143624.jpg http://i448.photobucket.com/albums/qq203/picasso007/Photobucket%20Desktop%20-%20Daedalus/2014-03-01143934.jpg http://i448.photobucket.com/albums/qq203/picasso007/Photobucket%20Desktop%20-%20Daedalus/2014-03-01143847.jpg http://i448.photobucket.com/albums/qq203/picasso007/Photobucket%20Desktop%20-%20Daedalus/2014-03-01143820.jpg?t=1412632923
