  1. Lmao Paul. Every word in that sentence makes me laugh. :bangbang:
  2. Repost. But I'll definitely see it. It actually looks good. I liked the last one they put out. Fast and Furious.
  3. Balancer isn't pulling any further in. Seems like it's getting tighter now. You'd think I've never built a motor or worked on a ca with how much of a wet noodle I'm being haha.
  4. See, I was just turning it with the breaker bar, the new bolt, and it seems like it keeps going and going lol. I'm starting to wonder if maybe I didn't get it torqued all the way down the first time?? I used red loctite on the bolt, but I've never had that make it thread in any easier. I'm using a 2ft breaker bar. I don't want to break anything though. Is there any way I could check to make sure I've got it tight enough? Can I try torquing the new bolt to a certain ft/lb?
  5. Nevermind. Fastenal in Hilliard had the bolt I needed. Now just need to torque to 240, remove, torque to 37, then 140*. This freakin 240ft/lbs is making me all kinds of nervous haha. I don't want to break anything! :pussy:
  6. It's a great book. Stick with it.
  7. So I've found tonight. Lol. Home Depot actually had the exact bolt, but only as long as 90mm. Would anyone want to come over to the Grove City area tomorrow afternoon/evening and help me get it back on? Anyone with an installer that is. Or would I be able to borrow anyone's installer/longer bolt? This is the only thing stopping me from driving my car haha.
  8. Yup! They're both great guys.
  9. There was a local team from Columbus that went down and raced. Andrew Frick as driver, and Ryan Scott as navigator. They raced for Rally Team for Dreams. Here is a brief synopsis of how they did: They're basically more along the lines of your grassroots Rally team. They raised all the money they needed to go down there and race, with a huge thanks to the last minute donations! 10. Well said. The only thing I disagree with is the church part. While I agree that you can worship God in an every day setting, we also need that common ground with other people who believe the same way we do. Just like this forum. We all came together because we like cars. We get on here, see how other people's progress on their cars is going, share our life with cars, and talk about whatever. Why? Because we all like this stuff lol. Do we need to come on here to like cars? To want to keep building them, and racing them? No. Does it sometimes inspire or provoke us to go back out into the garage and do more werk? Yeah lol. We're made to need this connection. IMO, same principle applies to church.
  11. Yeah, smaller puller, and it was off in 5 mins. Are most people getting the longer bolt to press the pulley back on? Or *cringe* tapping it back on until the stock bolt will thread back in? Longer bolt I believe is 16mm, 2.0 thread pitch, 120mm long.
  12. Exactly. Judging from that picture, my problem is I got a 3 jaw that was too big. Lol. I'll go back to Vatozone and grab the next size down. So for those that actually use the search function, you can't use the 5 ton 3 jaw puller from Vatozone on an LS1 pulley lol.
  13. The problem is getting the puller to even hook and not pull off when i try to pull it. I think the puller is too big for inside the pulley, but too small for outside the pulley.
  14. I'm seriously about to burn my car down haha. I'm using a 3 jaw puller, and I'd like to believe this is my problem. I cannot for the life of me get this damn thing off. My pulley came apart (the outside metal part came off where the rubber is, and I just have the inner piece bolted on to the crank). I dont know if it's easier on a pulley that hasn't come apart, but does anyone have any tips, tricks, or better tools to use to get the pulley off??? Its really a problem with getting the puller to a point where it's actually pulling, not just moving, if that makes any sense. I'll pay someone to come do this. Yes, it's come down to that lol.
  15. Well my stocker came apart so now I'm looking for an underdrive for my car. Anyone?
  16. What I'm saying is IMO, pinning the crank will provide you with more "security" than the bolt will. Your pulley *could* still spin with just the bolt on there. I've yet to see someone spin the pulley on the crank with it pinned.
  17. The hell it wont! You try shearing a pin sideways like that. The bolt is about .02 cents in insurance so the pulley won't fall off. Here's what's left of the crank pulley on the car. I missed it the first time because the belt grooves were deceiving. Those grooves are actually from the 30 seconds the car was running after I heard something fall off. Had I felt belt tension right away I would have known something was goofy. Luckily nothing was hurt/broken other than the crank pulley. All the other pulleys still spin freely. http://i66.photobucket.com/albums/h244/turbogokart/39a65c57.jpg
  18. Ah gotcha. Thanks! Freaked the piss outta me when I heard all this clanking and saw some sparks lol.
  19. Weird. I didn't realize it was that common. Can you still pin the crank with an ATI? My buddy had one (don't remember the brand) and Tom came over to pin it but couldn't because there wasn't enough material.
  20. Never seen this happen before, but from what I've heard it's not common. Did a 2-3 pull, heard some nasty noises and ended up finding part of my crank pulley on the side of the road! http://i66.photobucket.com/albums/h244/turbogokart/b6434357.jpg Anyone ever seen this? Comments? Any pulley options not have the rubber in the middle so this won't happen again?
  21. Exactly. That's what I got mine for at Jegs.
