  1. Why are you yelling at us?
  2. Yea, I had a friend buy a 355 because of the low price for owning a Ferrari... then he cried the first time he had to find a place to service the car... and what they charged for even the smallest of work. Needless to say he sold the car shortly thereafter. You dont buy a ferrari for anything you want to put more than 5k miles a year on.
  3. So I didnt bother to read the whole thread, so if this has been said, then whatever. If money isnt 'really' an issue, then what it really boils down to is what you want to do with the car. As someone who has driven, been in and/or around on the track (road course), they are both terrific cars, but feel miles apart. The torque, growl, and corner exit of the c6z is hard to beat, but the handling and refinement of the porsche in the turns is hard to ignore. Having followed One Lap the last few years, I can tell you it is always a battle for the overall track between a porsche, a vette, and now the skylines. All three are typically right on top of each other. 2011 was kind of wacky with break down etc.., but in 2010 a couple 911 turbos and a couple c6z's were battling it out almost every track event and the porsche guys took it more often. So they both perform neck and neck, so it really is more of a feel thing there. I, for one, prefer the brute force of the corvette, just puts a bigger smile on my face. Now if it isnt for racing, and is for just driving around town, 7 out of 10 yuppies would choose the porsche. The porsche feels and looks more refined, but depending on your size may be less comfortable. One of my problems at 6'4" is that w/ a helmet my head hits the headliner in most porsches. Porsche has the name and look for the exclusive feel to and/or if you feel the need to impress people by telling them what car you drive. If the car is for a little bit of both, more more for making 'you' happy.... I think the c6z is a very hard car to beat. and the extra $40k can get you a lot of other goodies to make the grin even bigger. Oh and another thing, not that it matters if you ahve the cash to drop anyway. But the maintenance requirement and cost for the porsche is exponentially greater. And if you like to work on cars yourself, the 996 is a PITA to work on.

  16. we got a couple places here in cincy... Rockafellas Pizza Bronx Bomber challenge Whole pizza, two people, 30 minutes. If you do it, t-shirt, picture on wall and the pizza is free. Pizza is 18". stuffed, with several cheeses and meats. I get full on 1 slice. When they used to serve it on a paper plate, by the time you were done, you could see through plate due to all the grease.... Another cool thing about this place, is that it is a non-profit. (I hear there is one of these in Dayton too) Izzy's 110 Reuben In this deal in honor of Izzy's 110th anniversary, you pay $19.99 to eat the 110 Reuben, an intimidating creation that includes a potato pancake, 1 pound of Izzy's Famous Corned Beef, a heap of sauerkraut, dressing and a smothering of Swiss cheese piled into a loaf of rye bread, and pickles on the side. Only the person taking the challenge may eat anything off the plate, and you must eat everything on your plate. If anyone else eats something on your plate, you will be charged the full non-challenge price: $29.99. Complete the challenge in 30 minutes or less and Izzy's will refund your money. Plus, you get a t-shirt and a photo on Izzy's wall of fame. I am pretty sure this challenge is going to be aired on "Man vs Food Nation" Montgomery Inn All you can eat ribs and Saratoga Chips Not a challenge, but a few times a year MI has this offer, and it is HIT. It started as an anniversary special for all you can eat for $19.89 and lasted over a weekend. It was so successful they bring it back every so often. If you do it, go early. If you wait till 7ish, its like a 2hour wait because of the amount of people... Anyway, I have been to Izzy's and Rockefellas, here is a list of the others in Cincy... http://cincinnati.metromix.com/restaurants/article/you-vs-food-lots/2420790/content
