That must be govt agencies in general. 5 years into my battle with one and it has ruined my life, no end in sight.

Hopefully they give you enough that with a little shopping you can upgrade to a newer model.

Finally got the one side apart and put together with a little help from Derek who pressed in the new bearing for me. Decided to go ahead and put new rear rotors and pads on both sides. Get over to the other side and found the bracket that holds the top of the strut to the body is completely fucked. Anyone know what that bracket would be called?

I am not sure what is supposed to happen with this sensor i can spin it part way but cannot get it off.

Damn that lower bolt was a pain. So i should be able to pull that sensor straight out?

Ok got it out now the last 2 things holding me up is the lower control arm bolt, the nut is off but the bolt won't budge. And there is some sort of sensor, unsure how to disconnect it.

Trying to replace the rear wheel bearing on my sons 98 a4. Cannot get the axle bolt to break loose. I have tried cheater bars and varying impact guns but nothing. Can i take a minitorch to the bolt without messing up the axle?

Bought my first leather interior vehicle a few years back. The leather was in good shape but i am starting to see the cracking in it. What maintence should i do to keep it looking as good as possible? All i have ever done is wioe it down with a very lighty damp microfiber rag.

2001 f150 belongs to a friend of mine. 198K miles 4.2 motor. Started having issues last week. It would run but rough under 25mph. Drove it today and it was doing the same thing. Shut it off and then wouldnt start. Hes tired of messing with it and going to buy new truck. Car is running and driveable. I believe it needs a new battery and he says he thinks the bands need tightened up in the tranny.

This belongs to a buddy of mine. Cr price $6000. Has 430 motor. He painted it and dyed the interior a few years back. Dash still needs dyed and he has the dye. He has all the parts with this car just never put them on. New baby moons. Very dusty as it sits in his body shop. If my situation was different i would do it for you. Hopefully this year it will be behind me. I have a guy, let me know if i can give your number out.

Finally got a chance to talk with him about it. They replaced the synchronizer I believe because they stated it was melted. They also replaced the sensor. Problem exists. They also told him one of the valves was at 50% compression(never heard of valve compression in terms like this so this is beyond me). Could this be as simple as a faulty aftermarket sensor or what should I suggest he check?

Unfortunately the guy lives an hr away so I havent been able to see the truck myself and her has no mechanical ability. Said he had a crankshaft sensor code. Mechanic charged him $400 to replace something that had been melted. Still the problem wasn't solved so he took it to a dealer that wanted to replace the part again but with an oem one and they stated something about low compression in a valve area, again him trying to explain it to me is like pulling teeth because he has no idea what the dealer told him. Again it drives fine above 25 mph and like shit below.

Buddy was driving this back from michigan last week and around toledo it started running rough at 25mph and lower. Anything above that it seemed fine. He took it to a guy who thought it was a camshaft sensor but he replaced that and still exists. Said mechanic may have said something melted but still trying to get more details. Took it to a dealership who said something similar but wanted to do the same thing as the first guy but couldnt guatantee it would fix the problem. Any ideas.
