Thanks for all the posts... I'm sure I'll be seeing you all soon. (If the weather is nice.. I might be at Jegs on Friday). I have been tinkering with it this past week.. getting it timed and getting the points set... crap like that. Maybe it's the automatic, but I've been kinda dissapointed about the performance. Don't get me wrong.. this thing moves.. (I put it in low and when it hits second.. the backend gets real loose!!) but I really don't have much to base it on. I would like to take someone who knows these older cars better than I do and let them juge whether the ol' 400 is performing up to it's max potential or not. The bidding starts at $10.00..

This is the best part..... I only paid $11,600 for it!!! I got if off E-Bay. The guy listed it as a "No Reserve" auction. He was pissed when it only went for 11,600. It is 98% ORIGINAL!! It's got an original 400 (not the actual one that came with the car, but it is a documented #'s matching 1967 GTO 400.) It puts out 335hp stock, but it's got a new Edlebrock 750cfm 4 barrel and a new Edlebrock Performer intake so I'm hoping for something around 360 +!! It also has headers (not sure what type) dual Turbo exhausts, and this thing is SOLID!!!!! Hardly any rust what so ever!! No rust in the body pannels (doors, fenders, trunk ect..) I may need to replace the gas tank.. but I'm going to drop it tomorrow and see how it looks. Someone told me that original bench seat column shift GTO's are very rare! Something like only 60 were made (that's what I heard.. I can't confirm it). I'm thinking about converting it to a 4 speed, but I want to talk to a few Pontiac experts on how rare the bench seat option was back then. I'll definatly bee seeing you guys out on the streets. Thanks for all the compliments.. (You ought to see all old guys 50+ come over to me and tell me all the "Back in my day..." stories. I had the chance to buy a 2004 GTO, but I decided to go with this one instead. It's got more "personality" and history than these new ones. I am a very happy man right now!!!!!

Well I took the plunge and bought my all time favorite car.. 1967 Pontiac GTO. I've wanted one ever since I was 6. I found this on e-bay and after "proper discussion with the wife" drove to Des Moines Iowa Thursday to pick it up. It needs a little TLC.. but not too much. 1st thing I'll be doing is pulling out that bench seat and auto and putting in some buckets and a 4 speed. I'll be seeing you guys soon. Wrecking does not make you better, take it from me.... it made me lose my bike forever!!! I miss my 900RR

I was doing about 65 when I lost it. I'm almost completely healed. The hole in my ass is still about 2 inches deep and it is as round as a penny on the outside. I'll be OK. Thanks for asking.

I was heading around the turn and hit some gravel and dumped it going around 60 - 70mph. I missed the wall, but I did hit some curbs. The ambulance didn't get to me for almost an hour. It took 2 hrs to get to the nearest hospital!! They were going to Life Flight me to Univ. of Tenn., but they couldn't find a good landing area. There is no poop coming out of the hole.. it just ripped the tissue in my butt cheek. The hole was originally 9 inches deep and 3.5 inches wide. It has gotten significantly smaller since the accident, but it still hurts like a bitch. My wife said that it looked like a vagina!!!

Hey everyone!!.. I've been gone for awhile... cause I got in a serious accident on my bike down on the Cherohala Skyway in Tenn. back in May. My beautiful 900RR is now a burnt ball of metal. Here are some pics. I guess this is it for my riding days. Thank heaven for leathers!!! I didn't have any road rash, but I did break my pelvis, and my wrist.. and my pelvic bone punctured thru my ass cheek about 2 inches from my butthole.
