The white one in the pic is a 87. Engine came apart in Sept. (came with car) just finished up a new build 383 w/ 671 blower. Should be firing it back up next weekend. Other is a 90 305 (for now) 5-spd that my mom bought almost new when I was in second grade lol. So I've always loved these cars since 2nd grade.

I've got the Kirkey wide seats in my car. You do have to crawl out of them a little (even more if you have a side bar). But I'm not a big guy either 5'7" 185, but my uncle is 6'4" 270 and he fits fine in the seats as good as I do. Just a fyi

imstock2 is D. Wiggs child. That said, he is building a car that will beat alot of cars in the 1/4 if he can get it to hook on 35" mud tires. If 1 wheel hop is given, he will lose 10k in drivetrain parts though. Since he's not sure that it will hook he's gonna stick to roll racing. With that tall of a tire I think he's got a chance. Oh, and he could beat you in the 1/4 but don't ask to race him. Your wasting his time. That's what I got.

Like Tim said move the rim/tire to a different side or front to back (assuming you know which tire is vibrating). Alot of times you can spin the tire on the car with a spin machine, but not all shops still have these. Thats an easy way of checking, if the tech knows what to look for. Tire balancer won't spin the tire fast enough to be able to tell where the new tire is messed up at. What brand of tire is it?

Believe it or not you could have a bad tire. Even if it's brand new. It happens more than you'd think.

So....you want the engine builder to do the other stuff, then you put it together, then take it back to get it balanced? Doesn't make sense to me. I'm assuming you know how to clearance an engine then....right? Why not have them throw the short block together for a couple hundred or so more and make it a 1 stop deal. I'd go to Doug Mann or Bob Beach (<---he can be a cranky old guy sometimes). Bob is doing my short block and is pretty well known with the drag racer community. So is Doug.
