  1. Any idea what this kinda work will set me back? Building up a winter budget sheet for the nova. Would love to have it 100% for spring.
  2. Muffler man in Lancaster has always done good exhaust work for me. . and at great prices.
  3. Been meaning to do some research on this for awhile. Was wondering if anyone could recommend me a good upholstery shop for recovering my front nova bench and rear nova seat? There have been a couple down and around Lancaster here, but have went out of business. Would be great to hear some suggestions and maybe see some pics if any of you have had any upholstery work done on your vehicles. Thanks in advance!
  4. Why ya gotta plant this in my neck of the woods? LoL
  5. Nice work man! Yeah he definitely did a great job striping the hood and is pretty religious about making things flush, so I have no doubt he will make me happy. . . I'm just pissing and moaning cause it's taking so long and we keep hitting these bumps along the way. I guess I can't complain too much because not only did I get the engine removed/painted/upgraded and the engine bay painted but I got all door jams done, and the trunk coated, and a nice base/clear job all for around the 3Kish mark (including engine kit and all parts/labor).
  6. Who fuckin cares how this dude spends his cash. Damn!
  7. Thanks Kevin for that informative post. The car was all sanded and primered and the stripes as well as orange are base, not single stage. I know on the stripes he did thin out the black so it would be easier to keep them smooth once the clear went on. . that's how he explained the reaction that time. The roof reaction he didn't really explain. . he said it occured while shooting the clear. Should brought it to you probably. But I know you're busy and with my budget right now probably couldn't of done all this work for what I'm getting it for. So while I'm sacrificing a little bit of professionalism, he seems to be doing a decent job, and atleast he admits the mistakes and corrects them. Although what was supposed to be a 2 week job has now been over a month. We'll see the outcome this week I guess. http://c4.ac-images.myspacecdn.com/images02/79/l_026eb9d5c7b5400ca8434e6b09b947d7.jpg http://c2.ac-images.myspacecdn.com/images02/9/l_b51880f99aa84af7a74c5cb64706c149.jpg I like the orange overspray on my radiator here, good times. http://c4.ac-images.myspacecdn.com/images02/18/l_7912a268170c464fa658388f4680fdf7.jpg
  8. Sad part is. . it's a nice clean nova. I like how the ad says "don't e-mail me and ask me why would you do that". LoL
  9. I guess it's unique? http://columbus.craigslist.org/cto/1428363092.html http://images.craigslist.org/3k23me3lc5T05Q65P79aj12b75c0873db168a.jpg http://images.craigslist.org/3n13md3p85Ta5Q75S09aj8568f0f62c1e1ead.jpg
  10. Niceeeee. Did anyone else do the sound effects in their head when he went down and came back up? The *brow bow bow*. I'm a nerd.
  11. He let me check it out. . I don't know the term "fish eying" but I will assume that's probably what it was. It wasn't really dirty, as he paints off in a corner of his shop which is free from a lot of debris...it was just kinda bubbly. I'm not pissed about it, I was just wondering if it's a common occurence. I'm just glad he's taking the extra time to make it right. It's not like I'm paying 10K for the paint job. . . and he's already put a lot of work into the body for me for what I'm paying him. Including pulling out the motor and painting the engine bay and putting a rachet shifter in for me and all this extra shit for like nothing. Good times. Next stop . . your place.
  12. Well it's the 2nd time it's happened is why I'm questioning it. It happened when he was doing the thin black layer for stripes too. But yeah, he took care of it and it looks fine now. I'll assume it's because it's not being shot in a paint booth as it should be, and the contaminants in the air raped it's soul.
  13. So I was supposed to get my nova back today but when applying the clear coat the guy painting it said there was a chemical reaction on the roof where it bubbled and he had to sand it down and re-primer/paint it which is delaying the whole process. My question is. . is this a normal occurrence? Or is this guy just mixing the shit wrong? He's been doing it 20 years so I'll assume it sometimes happens. Just seems odd.
  14. Definitely a third gen camaro that visited X to the Z xzibit.
  15. Block party in Athens is always a good time. . . lots of TNA too.
  16. I wanna get all new weatherstripping for the nova. . I'm wondering if this is a fairly simple process to do myself? I'll assume I just need to buy adhesive and a weatherstripping kit? Or do most kits come with adhesive? And what's the best way to remove the old? Thanks!
  17. Man, that's a wild case of dystonia. One of my friends was diagnosed with that at the age of 12 but she isn't cured when she walks backwards, lol. . nor can she speak fludily when she runs. I have a hard time believing it was caused by the flu shot, as it's a genetic disorder . . . but perhaps it did play a role in activating it before it's time somehow. Sad either way, she's gorgeous.
  18. Too much And this just in, it's hugger orange. I just assumed it was hemi orange as Rob had suggested.
  19. it may be hugger orange .. the guy doing it is a big chevy guy and races a nova himself either way it's sexy
  20. Don't laugh it off. . . that defeats our mission. Whatever queer.
