I can't say how much it will be for you. . it's gonna be different for everyone depending on body work and personal connection. I happened to use a guy who was close friends with a good friend of mine, so I got an excellent deal. With this economy though it's not too difficult to find a great deal. If you want I can even get you in touch with the guy who did the work you see above. I had a couple little problems with him, but I got more than I paid for. It started as a quote to do a little body work and then sand/primer/base/paint/clear ...but I quickly changed my mind to do the engine bay and have him freshen the motor up and paint and clear my rally wheels, so naturally that added to the cost. If you're looking for a solid color paint job with jams (primer/sealer/base/cleared), you're looking at about 1500-1800 depending on color, and if you're looking for engine bay and everything add another 500+ for that area. You can check out the entire project under project management, but I wanted to share my joy here from the progress on it. It looks awesome (in my opinion). Just two months ago I bought this thing and questioned how good it would eventually look because the previous owner had done such poor body work. After a ton of sanding and blood, sweat and tears. . . it's really coming together and is as straight as an arrow now! Here's two pics I just took a few hours ago. The engine is now bolted in and I'll be helping throughout the weekend getting all the electronics and everything hooked back up and HOPEFULLY by Sunday evening I'll be driving her. You'll notice I have Nova Rally wheels on it, which came on the car painted maroon. I had them removed and painted black with clear coat. . I think it really sets it off! Comments appreciated. This has really become a money pit for me, but has been an enjoyable one. Motor is bolted to tranny and car is CLEARED! Hooking everything up tomorrow and putting the finishing touches on. I'm REALLY happy with how this turned out.
