  1. Hey Scott. Hope all is well in the land of sandboxes. Normally it can be 6 - 8 weeks. It all depends on what you want though. Sometimes they have half-way finished products from orders that were cancelled, etc. Depending on how custom you want it, they should be fairly quick. This is the first year where WC has their own line of frames they made themselves, so they not relying on others for supply. I would hope that would expedite their turnIaround. Most of their CQB guns I got within a 3 day to 5 week period of time. Greg @ Wilson knows me well and often bumped me to the top of the list when I asked.... I could probably still put the good word in. Because of their own in-house ability now, they should be fit and finished better. These are all my assumptions, though. Haven't laid hands or eyes on one yet. What are you looking for? I finally got the "in" to get myself a fine Kings Gun Works.... they'll pretty much make it for me on demands, but it will be up to a three year build time. Here's some disdain for thought for the country club up north... the good word has it they are now selling IO's and High Points. Heard this from a couple sources... Just another reason to wonder what is really going on up there since they don't have anyone who can really push proper products. I would probably order a Wilson via Scottsdale and have it shipped to an FFL out this side of the Mississippi River. Let me know how I can help and I will do it. Stay safe and shoot straight!
  2. I feel the exact same way. I have had nothing but issues with their customer service, even when I worked for them. The network is solid, but the phones have only gotten good in the last six months. I am in for this, too. I have had issues with Sprint in the past, but willing to overlook that for the potential of this phone. I need to see more reviews of it vs the nexus one first, though.
  3. Same advice, I was just about to post it.
  4. A shotgun is always best and serves several purposes including a club if you just want to bash shit and break bones--I fill some of my home defense shotgun stocks with lead. I didn't sugest a shotgun because he asked about a hand gun caliber.
  5. I think you could find a much better deal for $800 with your ability to scour the internetz.
  6. It all depends on care. My father has a LARGE collection of Wilson Combat 1911's. That being said the one he shoots the most has over 40,000 rounds through it. He's owned it for about 15 years now. It cleans up super nice. As a matter of fact I had a Wilson employee look at it closely and he said it looked like it had hardly been shot. No one believed the round count through it until my father confirmed it. I tell you that to tell you this: If you are anal enough about cleaning, you can MASK the amount of rounds a gun has seen in a quality firearm. That being said, normally you do see wear and tear. Yes if you have a trained eye there are certain things you can spot on certain guns, the way they wear etc... I know of one MP that has over 10,000 rounds through it and I can't say it shows much more wear than a Glock would--they wear well. If I could look at it, see it, play with it I could tell you a lot more...
  7. BTW: Any lifetime warranty on a firearm can be upheld by ANY owner. Gun manufacturers don't want liability lawsuits coming their way for negligence. The M&P is a great gun and I like it and the Glock for an all purpose hand gun.
  8. If he shoots that much and is in Columbus, I probably know him. What's his name?
  9. Yes, the models are all the same. They have introduced some new sku's, but there are not any updates to frame styling.
  10. You are correct. I recommend replacing the captive guide rod (and spring--attached) every 3-5K rounds. It's probably less than $10.
  11. You do know it has a lifetime warranty, right? As long as it has not been abused, there is no reason to worry about it. I would try to get it cheaper, though. 8,000 rounds is a lot for a compact gun that is 3 years old...And I shoot a lot! That's a lot of money spent in ammo....
  12. Get a Glock or an S&W MP. You are wasting your time with anything else.
  13. Been there, done that. Wasn't thrilled.
  14. Yeah, the ad got taken down. It either pissed liberals off with mentions of guns or it got flagged for best of!
  15. Mike, I hope you get a android based phone. I remember when you were so against them before I got my G1.
  16. What are the stats on the Wrangler? I might be looking for one soon.
  17. I should move Paula in there.
  18. :bangbang:This probably belongs in the best of craigs in my book: http://charlotte.craigslist.org/cto/1646652307.html For sale or trade Jeep Cherokee - $1800 (Mount Holly) Date: 2010-03-16, 11:59AM EDT Reply to: sale-rmbc3-1646652307@craigslist.org [Errors when replying to ads?] OK, let me start off by saying this Jeep is only available for purchase by the manliest of men (or women). My friend, if it was possible for a vehicle to sprout chest hair and a five o'clock shadow, this Jeep would look like Tom Selleck. It is just that manly. It was never intended to drive to the mall so you can pick up that adorable shirt at Abercrombie & Fitch that you had your eye on. It wasn't meant to transport you to yoga class or Linens & Things. No, that's what your Prius is for. If that's the kind of car you're looking for, then just do us all a favor and stop reading right now. I mean it. Just stop. This Jeep was engineered by 3rd degree ninja super-warriors in the highest mountains of Japan to serve the needs of the man that cheats death on a daily basis. They didn't even consider superfluous nancy boy amenities like navigation systems (real men don't get lost), heated leather seats (a real man doesn't let anything warm his butt), or On Star (real men don't even know what the hell On Star is). No, this brute comes with the things us testosterone-fueled super action junkies need. It has a 6 cycle engine to outrun the cops. It's got special blood/gore resistant upholstery. It even has a first-aid kit in the back. You know what the first aid kit has in it? A pint of whiskey, a stitch-your-own-wound kit and a hunk of leather to bite down on when you're operating on yourself. The Jeep also has an 5 sp transmission so if you're being chased by Libyan terrorists, you'll still be able to shoot your machine gun out the window and drive at the same time. It's saved my bacon more than once. It has room for you and the four hotties you picked up on the way to the gym to blast your pecs and hammer your glutes. There's a tow hitch to pull your 50 caliber anti-Taliban, self cooling machine gun. I also just put in a new windshield to replace the one that got shot out by The Man. My price on this bad boy is an incredibly low $1,800 but I'll entertain reasonable offers. And by reasonable, I mean don't walk up and tell me you'll give me $500 for it. That's liable to earn you a Burmese-roundhouse-sphincter-kick with a follow up three fingered eye-jab. Would it hurt? Hell yeah. Let's just say you won't be the prettiest guy at the Coldplay concert anymore. I dont know how many miles are on this four-wheeled hellcat from Planet Kickass. Trust me, it will outlive you and the offspring that will carry your name. It will live on as a monument to your machismo. Now, go look in the mirror and tell me what you see. If it's a rugged, no holds barred, super brute he-man macho Chuck Norris stunt double, then contact me. I might be out hang-gliding or BASE jumping or just chilling with my ladies, but I'll get back to you. To sweeten the deal a little, I'm throwing in this pair of MC Hammer pants for the man with rippling quads that can't fit into regular pants. Yeah, you heard me. FREE MC Hammer pants. Rock on. Contact me either thru this craigs list link or at Michael.Lyle@baml.com Tags Trade for Car. Trade for Truck. Trade for 4 wheeler. Trade for Boat. Trade for Jet ski. 19. I have found a couple of Overlands that I am considering right now. We'll see what happens.
