  1. Good to know, I am looking forward to the one at the Remington Arms Factory this Fri.
  2. New washer should have warranty? If not we have them cheap as heck at work. Sorry about the Outback, how do you like it? I've been eye-balling one as a replacement to the 01 I have.
  3. Or not... Sometimes it's nice not to have to worry about the little extra if you're not a fan of IBW. I do put the grip extensions on all mine, though.
  4. I liked a lot about BWSC until I saw Rex's true colors, too. I wouldn't spend a dime to support that madness now.
  5. Having worked at both NASR and BWSC, I can tell you both have pluses and negatives. NASR has some retards that work there and they are out to take you for every dime you have. The owners there don't care much about anything and the range was about to fall apart when I was there over two years ago. There is no easy way to replace it, and once it's done it is going to incur a major expense for them to fix it. Right now memberships are their cash cow. They look to retire off about every gun they sell, margin-wise and their selection of guns is horrendous--the main reason I left. I didn't like working in a mail-order retail store. Plus, except for three staff members I know, the place is quite un-aware of the industry as a whole. There is quite a ghetto population and "un-safe" shooters that shoot there on a regular basis as well. This is a major negative in my book. A positive is the fact that it is quite local to about anywhere and save the weekends, it usually isn't too packed. The new memberships are quite a deal, though. BWSC on the other hand is way out in the middle of no-where-- 40+ mins from virtually anywhere in North Columbus, even. However, you can't find the environment they have there anywhere else in the country save Scottsdale. BWSC has a deep selection of firearms (for being a range) and for most part the quite a knowledgeable staff. A lot of employees will come off as pretentious, but they don't have to worry about the ghetto traffic that NASR does. BWSC has one of the best trained staffs in the country and their training programs are exemplary as well. Their prices are high to a degree, but as I recall NASR was more expensive 80% of the time. BWSC also always had stuff when no one else did during the Obama scare for almost 90 days. BWSC is also one of the cleanest ranges you will ever find. Plenty of corporate outings happen there on a weekly basis as well. The way I see it, NASR is probably more suited for newer shooters, or those who just won't drive far to shoot. You'll pay a bit more on average, but it's a convenience thing. BWSC is the great escape, where you don't have to worry about too much ignorance out of the members who shoot there, but you're going to drive awhile to get there and be sure to avoid high-traffic times. Anyway, that's just the way I see it and I worked at both places longer than 2 years each.
  6. It's been said, but I will say it again... You gotta make sure it works. Use what works best. It doesn't matter if you think you have the world's best personal defense ammo out there. If the gun won't eat it, then you have a useless piece of metal. When in doubt, use ball. 1911's can vary between themselves drastically. I've had consecutively serialed guns that wouldn't eat the same ammo. It all just depends on what works, then YOU adapt to that.

LOL! Wow, yeah... I list ads on CL everyday and the ignorance of the population amazes me.
  8. Who on here works there?
  9. I do miss mine at times. I haven't seen pics of Alex's Cougar in a good while.

    Android peeps!

I need to do the Hero install myself... LOL Just a note-to-self to do it.
  14. I don't think it will be too long before sling shots are a regulated item. Especially once elections happen.
  15. Actually there are some VERY good reasons for it. Stealthy, quiet, untraceable--does NOT require a form 4. It is pointless for hunting, there would be no reason I could ever see to use it for recreational sport.
  16. It is up for auction. They retailed it for awhile and did not get any bites they liked, so it went to auction. Some cars that we have stay retailed for 90 days or longer before they go to auction. In this case, the car was driven from time-to-time by the owner so it didn't go to auction in a timely manner. When they wrote the original ad (the staff), they did misprint the engine size. I assumed (wrongly) that the car was a 2.3L because of the badging, but it is indeed the 2.5L engine... I don't know the BMW's that well, obviously. Here's Wikipedia info: "In the North American market, the inline-4 engine was complemented by a larger straight-6 engine in 1997: the 2.8 L M52B28. This engine, similar to the BMW M52 in the 328i except with an all aluminum block and head, was especially desirable with its 189 hp (141 kW). The M Roadster (see below) appeared in 1998 with a 3.2 L S52B32 (North America) or more powerful S50B32 (International) I6, just as the four was retired. In 1999, the 1.9 L 4-cylinder engine was replaced with a 2.5 L straight-6 M52TUB25, producing 170 hp (130 kW). Due to marketing, BMW wanted to differentiate the 2.8 L engine from the 2.5 L engine, so it was badged 2.3 just like the 3-Series 323i, which also has a 2.5 L engine." So, the 2.3 badged car has a 2.5L engine.
