  1. I told Glock they should do this. I hope it happens, I always loved the guns and hated the fit.

    Android peeps!

That looks super nice. My gf was just asking what she should upgrade to after her G1 is up in Feb. Doubt it will be out then, but I would sure like to get it when it does! I still need to get a class 6 card.
  3. You beat me to the avatar change. That is fantastic! I shall use it as my work avatar!
  4. Don't buy that, it's a liability!! If you have some specific questions, you can take them to PM with me.
  5. Shall we schedule another time next year in advance?

  7. Your post count dictates your status there for awhile. I don't know the specifics, but if you do a search I am sure you will find it.
  8. Nice little Saturn and welcome!
  9. That's what I needed to see to revive the Chevy line-up from that pansy marketing they were attempting
  10. +15 for Bob, excellent guy to deal with. PM me some prices on the specialty stuff if you don't mind, sir.
  11. Best of luck to you sir, I hope someone can get you in. I used to work there years ago and it was the same story then.
  12. Damn Doc, I had hoped to get out there to see you but I can't tonight.
  13. That is an amazing feat, I had forgotten about the Dream Car Garage.
  14. I just saw this and it made me laugh. I don't have any of my animals, but I figure this could be another LOL thread. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4LzMAXqu8qU&feature=rec-LGOUT-exp_fresh+div-1r-1-HM
  15. Those things are usually overbuilt, so risk of damage per firing is usually low. I am not making a claim that it is safe to shoot--I haven't looked at it personally. However, if it doesn't clean up well it just won't be as accurate as it should be. Clenzoil will cost you about $14 for a bottle and I believe Sweets is about $17. It might be more or less depending where you buy. Yeah, you can try Hoppes, etc but I can tell you NOTHING will be it clean like the combo I mentioned unless you tank it. A gun smith would probably charge about $35 for a simple clean and since it's corroded already, add money to that figure. Not trying to discourage you, just trying to help you decide how far you want to go. Sometimes projects can be fun and a good learning experience.
  16. You sir, have a valid reason as you are already at a proven disadvantage.
  17. I understand your frustrations completely, but you cannot and must NOT get a CCW for this reason. You will get yourself into trouble if you think a gun is going to save you in this incident. What do you think you would have done with a gun? Seriously. Now, if someone would have slapped her around or threatened you, that is a completely different circumstance. I understand wanting to be prepared, but you should have manned up and done the job that way. I carry and gun and other various weapons at any given time. Someone would have done that to my woman or friend's woman and I guarantee you I wouldn't have pulled out a firearm to dissolve the situation.
  18. Yeah, I have to join the rest of the crowd here and say Subaru. I am partial to it for most of the same reasons, esp reliability and safety. One WRX already saved my life because of a foolish driver. If I had to a choice between the Legacy GT and the STI, I would probably pick the Legacy as mentioned before it is a little less of a kidney/back beater. If you're not going to mod the car beyond what you have already stated, you've got an excellent platform to begin with. I plan on picking up an STI or Legacy GT in the future, but for now my WRX works for me--I don't have a car payment and the insurance is lower. I do have an 05 tranny in my 03, so I don't have many problems to worry about.
  19. I always found iwsti, cos and nasioc to be the most helpful for my needs.
  20. You want to use Sweets 7.62 (be careful, it has an awful smell http://www.midwayusa.com/viewProduct/?productNumber=643582) and then follow up with some Clenzoil. Locally you can get the Clenzoil at River's Edge and I know BWSC used to have Sweets. If these don't work, then you're pretty much out of luck unless you want to machine it. Clenzoil is a special treatment that penetrates, protects and cleans. Good luck... Some of those are well beyond the time/money involved to save. Someone who shot it had no idea how to clean the corrosive ammo out they shot through it.
  21. http://www.nasioc.com will help you tremendously. I will be curious to see how this URABUS turns out.
  22. Bingo! It is the .577 Tyrannosaurus.
  23. I agree. I would rate them: MB Quartz (These are generally my "go to" brand, I personally love them.) Boston Acoustics (I have always liked all levels they have produced.) Focal (These are awesome, but sometimes hard to find...) PPI (You will have to look hard for these, but worth finding.) Pioneer Premier (I personally always liked the 05+ better than RF stuff.) Infinity Kappa (don't usually handle power real well) www.partsexpress.com will allow you to find some splendid deals if you're willing to play with numbers and figure things out on your own. You can come well below budget, too.
  24. Then when you get good, you can try your luck with a hot 40S&W or 10MM. I used to test self-defense loads in this manner.
  25. Always said I carry a gun because a cop is too heavy. When I sold security systems, average response time was 15-25 mins. Only slightly better with a security system.
