  1. Hi Jon, Your best bet is to look elsewhere. No matter what you do to the motor your going to be limited by it. Not to mention, now you are adding additional stress to the drivetrain...meaning you are going to break shit. Adding any type of forced induction to a base NA car is always expensive.
  2. www.clubgp.com Dr. Phat is one of the coolest guys. He'll race anything, hes got a bunch of vids floating around. I didn't know he was local?
  3. Wow. Do these pants make my butt look big?
  4. uh oh, what's he got under the hood o wise one?
  5. Hey! Nice looking car. I love the Z32 body styles. Looks like it would be good on a road course! Welcome to the board.
  6. Like I said in your other thread, prove me wrong. I'm making factual statements, what is there to dispute???? Sheesh...
  7. uhhhhhh? Who pissed in your wheaties? Prove me wrong in any of the statements I've made. I may not drive a BMW, but I've been involved with them before I even understood cars. Nate
  8. yeah, positive. I didn't look at right at first glance. I had my resident Suby expert with me at the time, and I remember there was no thrid brake light. It was also done up in Sony stickers and had the rally inspired paint job. Oh...Brain...you're a homo. smile.gif
  9. 95 M3s are ODBI and generally will be mroe $, because of it. They respond better to mods, but have less torque due to a change in intake manifold designs. 96-01 are ODBII and respond OK to mods, but they aren't speed demons. They are well engineered cars that you can take on 8 hour road trips and drive in triple digits and feel comfortable. On any 95-02 M3 replace the water pump. They are plastic and the impeler wheel can and will break. Not a good thing. The 323i is a sedan that can;t be compared to the ///M cars.
  10. I fell out of my chair laughing at the second one. Thanks for that, that was a good laugh.
  11. Hello fellow GTP brother. There's a few of us on here, who can pretty much help you with anything. You can sell the MSD and FPR, they really aren't to beneficial. Also nice to see your not running any of a certain vendors products (it starts with an I), you have saved time, money, and your sanity in doing so. Welcome to the site, hope to see you out. Nate
  12. Get an OS on the box and host it? IIS (microsoft's built in) is pretty easy to use, but Apache does have a port for windows users. Hop on AIM, hit me up if you need any help.
  13. You know, I really like the EVO. The other day I saw a regular WRX with an EVO wing. I was confused. Car is looking good though.
  14. That's alot of power for a little car. Any pictures of it?
  15. Hi Jon, There are a few turbo m42s out there. You will not find much info on them but they do exist. You will find most people with m42 turbos are in Finland, Sweden and Norway. Sometimes you will get lucky and find a boosted e36 with pictures but very little information. If you really want to FI an m42, take into account the reality of the car. It's high CR, it's slightly weaker drivetrain and the exponentiation of cost with regards to seeking high hp and trq. If your still interested in doing it, do it yourself. Just my two pennies. HTH, Nate
  16. EIDE is kinda old. (It peaks out at 133mb/s) I think that is ATA133, anywho SATA hits 150mbs/sec. SATA is on par with SCSI, mostly because of the bus structure. Access time are about half of EDIE, 5.x seconds, where I think the faster 7,200RPM EIDE drives are still chugging with 7 or 8ms times. I have the 36gb WD Raptor for windows and core programs, and have my good old WD 80gb for music and such holdin down the EIDE. As far as the Sempron CPU, stay away from it. You'll always want L1 and L2 cahce as big as possible. The standard is about 1MB right now for gaming/high end rigs. Both the Pentium 4 and Athalon series have what you want. It looks like AMD phased out the Duron and are replacing it with the Semperon. HTH, Nate
  17. I ran the Nitto Drag Radials on my FWD boat. They liked to be hot when I went to the track, but they worked well normally inflated in differant weather conditions. I still have about 60% tred on them after 2 or 3 events last year. Very pleased with their traction and durability. Nate
  18. SATA HD. WD Raptor, 10,000RPM. Buy one. 1GB of RAM (Dual channel works pretty good) Asus has an interesting feature where the computer will overclock itself under load, kinda neat.. CPU's....well, LGA is kinda new...Intel is working on bringing out there 64bit consumer architecture, as well as Mr' Gate's releasing Window XP 64 bit version. May want to hold off untill these come out, don;t know your budget, but I'm sure it would drop prices on the exisiting hardware. AMD is chilling with their Athalon 64s, They are pretty solid with HyperTransport. I haven't checked on them much, but they seem to be hanging in there. Uhhh, As far as video cards, I'd vote for a GT4600 from Nivida or a 9800 pro from ATI. I have both and they do a good job for the money. HTH Nate
  19. On our cars it is just a 3,000 mile count down. We aren't advanced as them imported cars, Jesse. And its the.....F I N A L COUNT DOWN! dadaada da da da Use the Mode button to switch to oil life. Then hit the reset button on the DIC, and hold it in for like ~10 seconds or so. http://s90925223.onlinehome.us/pub/nate/resetoil.JPG
