What model 1911 you talkin' 'bout, Willis?

Not gonna argue that full size 1911's are a bit heavy, but a GOOD gun belt and holster to spread out the weight make all the difference in the world. Mine disappears while wearing jeans and a T-shirt with my Wilderness Instructor belt and Milt Sparks VM2. And I'm carrying around a spare tire on my waist, too. Good quality carry setup > cheaping out. The 1911 is thin enough that you can make it work with the right setup.

I can field strip a Glock in about 5 seconds, give or take. The 1911 on the other hand, requires a barrel bushing wrench, and about 3 hands. I've only done it a couple times now, so I'm not real proficient at it, but, it's definitely a more involved process. Not to mention, springs and shit go flying everywhere if you're not paying attention when you pull it apart. It's definitely not something I'd carry into the field.

She's been told they went to the manditory data plan for 2 reasons: 1. Apparently verizon updates the blackberry's daily and you have to have the data plan for it to function. (smells like bullshit to me) 2. Apparently some folks were using their phone as an internet connection or something and Verizon was losing a ton of money because of it, so now they require you to buy the data plan. (again, sounds like BS to me)

I has a question. My mother currently has a Palm 700p that's worked fine for her for the past 2+ years. However, she's got like $200 worth of discounts saved up that she can use and has been contemplating getting a new blackberry or the like. Now, currently she has no data plan, and has absolutely no need for a data plan. She likes her phone, and the calendar that comes on it. That's it. Upon researching getting a new phone, she has found out that Verizon won't sell her a PDA/Blackberry/whatever w/o a data plan. I told her that's fucking stupid. So, my question is, how can she go about getting a new phone, through Verizon, with said discounts, without subscribing to a $30/month data plan that she has no use for? Is it do-able?

Again, I'm not so sure about OCing in a park. You'd have to do some more research on that to be certain.

You can OC in Ohio without a CCW. The only thing I'm unsure of is park carry. I know National Park CCW was passed, but I heard something about LOLbama reversing that. I'm not quite sure what that's all about. Also, national parks are not state or city parks, so that's another thing I'm unsure of.

I'd look into open carry for things such as that. Not sure what all the laws are on places you can carry though. Sorry.
