  1. I hunt when I get a chance (not much). Bowhunt - Never taken a deer with one. Muzzleloader - Taken a deer with one. Rifled slug gun (really damn accurate for a slug (sabot)) - taken a coyote with one, while I was hunting for deer. Never turkey hunted, or went after any type of game bird, though I'd like to. Squirrels and such are a blast with my .17HMR, as well as anything else that moves. I visited my father in Kentucky this weekend, where he proceeded to give me a new Savage 12FV chambered in .22-250, so I'm pretty stoked about that. Took it out with him yesterday morning, to try to nail a coyote. He called one in, but mr. coyote was smarter than us. Bastard snuck up behind us (where we were 90% sure he wouldn't come from). My dad shot at him twice while he was on the run through some soybeans, but unfortunately missed. Had a blast though, and my father's pretty damn good at calling them in. We've got a trip planned for outwest to kill truckloads of prairie dogs as soon as I finish college. Can't wait for that. But to answer your original question about hunting; I'll be the first to tell you I'm not the best hunter in the world. I just like to do what I can.

...where I'd get murdered. I'd probably stick with the 870 then.

I'd do it with you, but I've been lazy and haven't put together any of my AR lowers. I bet my new Saiga 12 would rock the shotgun stage, though, the way I understand it, the big dogs use the tech loaders, or whatever the fuck they're called. I might swing by to watch.
  4. Legit answer. Thanks. Though, I still feel that some abuse it.
  5. I should state that, I'm not hating. Just wondering why they get all the breaks. Pure curiousity.
  6. No. I am. Yea, yea, yea. They grow food. We got it. But the guy in the John Deere factory that makes his tractor doesn't get a break.
  7. Seriously. I get farmers (you can usually spot them right away) that come into my work all the time. They'll ask to rent something, I'll start writing up the rental contract, and then they'll almost always blurt out, "Farm use." or, "I'm tax exempt." WTF? What do they contribute to society that allows them to skip out on paying taxes? I've got to pay them. I'm sure 99% of you have to pay them. So why is it that everytime they purchase something, they get a break? Do other members of society (for the most part) not contribute to the country as a whole? Would they get their farm job accomplished if I didn't rent them the equipment? Just something that's been on my mind that I've been meaning to ask about/discuss.
  8. I think he's saying exactly what you are. People will vote for Obama because he's black(ish). People will vote for McCain because he's not black(ish). It'll go both ways, but, either train of thought is retarded to me. This election makes me wish we had some kind of anonymous system in place. Where, we don't vote on the person, just their ideals. Impossible, I know. But it'd be nice if it were possible. I'll take the candidate behind door #3, please.
  9. Can someone answer a question for me? Every single person I talk to seems to hate both candidates. So why is it that we can't get someone else? Who actually likes either of them? This 2 party system is bullshit. There's got to be a better way.
  10. AOL's current straw poll: http://news.aol.com/political-machine/2008/08/18/aol-straw-poll-aug-18-25
  11. If McCain also turned out to be ineligible as well, God damn, that'd be the best news of my entire life. Time for new candidates!
  12. I used a set of Brooks Diad 4's a couple years back. Loved them, and still wear them for a beater shoe. Do yourself a favor and stop by FrontRunners on, I believe, Lane Ave. They know their shit. I need to stop back by there since I'm trying to get back into running myself. I'm a fatty.
  13. We sell Subaru/Robin generators at work. Nothing but excellent things to say about them. A Honda won't let you down either. Like others have said, add up the amount of watts/amps you want to run, and find a generator that suits you. Also, don't get caught up in peak output numbers. A lot of cheaper generators tout big wattage numbers, but they simply can't sustain that kind of load for anything more than a spike. They might be able to tag it for a second, but you'll generally find that their sustained load numbers are much, much lower. BTW, who's suggesting Briggs and Stratton? I personally would avoid B&S at all costs. That is, unless you enjoy pulling the starting rope until your arm is ready to fall off. Robin or Hondas will start first or second pull, everytime. I garauntee. Not to mention they're much quieter.
  14. If you were the US girls, would you really want to win due to a technicality?
  15. Werd. I hate Ben Stiller (but his wife is hot), and I HATE Jack Black even more. I don't think I've ever laughed at one of their movies. For the record, I don't find Will Ferrel (sp?) to be that funny either. RDJ is hilarious though.
  16. A mini excavator is more expensive and slower for installing a waterline. A walk behind/side trencher would suit the job well.
  17. When in doubt, empty the mag. When really in doubt, save one for yourself.
