  1. Lobe seperation angle (LSA) is, I believe the angle between the intake lobe, and the exhaust lobe. I believe the smaller the number, the bigger the lope. The cam I had in my T/A was the T-ReX cam by Thunder Racing. The specs on it were: 242*/248* .612/.615 109* LSA That was a pretty hefty cam for that motor. Ran well though for being untuned. Never got a chance to test it out tuned though. I've got a small vid clip of it that I need to upload one of these days. Dialup makes that hard to do though.

I did, however, convince my mother to pay the taxes and for the extended warranty. Gotta love the moms! Originally posted by Razorback: It's a great feeling. --Yes it is. Originally posted by The DropTop: SO, does your penis feel smaller yet? --Not really. Is that the same color that's on Marc's dad's Z06? -Yes it is. Originally posted by Dr Chemist: Welcome to the C5 club. --This makes me smile for some odd reason. Whew!!! Hope you guys can make all that out. Damn quote feature kept hacking up my posts. Anyways, thanks again guys for all the comments. I will update the pics section with some more detailed pictures when I get it cleaned up and lowered.
  3. ~OK, hopefully this will work.~ ~~Edit- it didn't work. Gonna do this the long way.~~ I figured I should post some responses eventually. First off, thanks to everybody for the comments. Originally posted by Tenzig: Its a night and day difference from the regular C5. The Z06 is the only vette I think I'd like owning. A well rounded car...pretty much. Work your way up to the limits in a safe environment, the oversteer comes at you FAST at speed. Start off in parking lots feelingit out with some tight and technical cornering, then work your way up, widen your turns, increase your speed....then go here and get refined in HPDE 1 and 2. A few instructors there have a good bit of experience with the Z06. Great purchase, congrats. --Yea, I'm taking it easy for now in the turns. It seems to stick like Gorilla Glue though. I'd eventually like to try some road racing with it. I just hope I can do so without tearing it up. Originally posted by Rane: Nice car, 40 roll when weather allows? --Possibly... Originally posted by Nitrousbird: I'll be the ass and ask....how much was it?? --Too much. But like I said, its worth it. Originally posted by 1Quik7: i think you should have just fixed up the Cavalier...they can be race cars too --What you don't realize is, my cavalier is actually my racecar. Its waaaaaay faster than the vette. I just don't like to bring it out on the weekends because racegas ain't cheap. tongue.gif Originally posted by MadMalibu: oh yeah, Z06 > * --I would have to agree. Originally posted by Matt Sterbator: Nice car, Austin. But keep this one tops-up, otherwise I'll be taking some other parts from it --I got the hardtop for a reason. smile.gif Just in case. And it doesn't hurt that it happened to be the 'performance' model as well. Originally posted by Dr. Z06: THE Z06 IS THE FASTEST CAR IN THE WORLD!!1!! And now you know it. graemlins/thumb.gif Congratulations on your purchase - the electron blue is pimp. I'm amazed at your reaction to the shifter. You hate it? I love it. By chance, did you ever have an opportunity to drive an 03/04 Cobra with a stock shifter? That may be the key here. Anyway, congrats again. --Second fastest car in the world. Right next to my cavalier. Also, I can't say I've ever driven a cobra. Though I would like to. I love those cars as well. Originally posted by Volvolution: shifters should be tall anyway... the throw should be short, the the shifter being tall has signifigance. With the shifter up in the air, you dont need to reach very far from the wheel to shift. Because the car is made to have awesome track maners... they designed the cockpit to suit racing style driving habbits... two hands on the wheel at almost all times, with quick shifting, then back to the wheel. One hand on the wheel and one on the shifter is not safe on the track... sooooo the corvette makes the quick shifting easy --Maybe, but it still isn't comfortable. I'll be switching it out soon. Originally posted by Tenzig: I thought the purpose of the Vette was to make'm wet? --I damn sure hope so. Originally posted by Eatonup: Nice purchase! You just can't go wrong with those cars. The best all around sports car for the money. --Again, I'd have to agree with this comment.
  4. Ok, this is aggravating me. The quick quote feature flat out butchers everything I try to post. I'm going to try this again.
  5. I must say though...the girl is smokin' hott.
  6. I've seen atleast 603 rwhp out of a big cubed vette. I forget who built it though.
  7. Just curious, but, what couldn't it do? It could do whatever money allowed. I'd say it did just fine for it's only mod, being some spray. What do I know though.
  8. I've always wondered...what's the difference?
  9. were you in logan elm village today? Stang 2NV plates?
  10. they damn it up, with a damn (big pile of rocks). Then route the water around where the damn is to be made. Then build the real damn. and remove the pile of rocks.
  11. They go in and out at random. Cardomain is fubared
  12. --Thinks to himself-- 'rubber side down. rubber side down.'
  13. there isn't one any closer? say....I don't know...in Columbus?
  14. hmmm. Something must be up with cardomain. They aren't 'tagged' either with the cardomain name in the corner.
  15. hmmm...when did cardomain stop allowing hotlinking? They were working just a second ago. Maybe I'll get lucky and they'll come back up.
  16. Not much, but you get the idea. http://memimage.cardomain.net/member_images/8/web/500000-500999/500568_97_full.jpg http://memimage.cardomain.net/member_images/8/web/500000-500999/500568_98_full.jpg http://memimage.cardomain.net/member_images/8/web/500000-500999/500568_99_full.jpg
  17. After searching for what seemed like forever, I found a Z06 that I wanted with the miles I wanted. So, I drove 4 hours to Dearborn, Michigan to go have a look at it. After staying there for a couple hours, doing some paperwork, putting myself in debt for the next 5 years, signing my soul away...I was the owner of a 2003 Electron Blue Z06 w/ 2,500 miles on it. Every option, plus some chrome Z06 wheels the dealership had thrown on it the day before. I did pay a little more than I wanted, however, but in the end I think it was worth it. I figured I'd give a short review of a few things that came to mind while driving this thing. graemlins/leghump.gif First off. OMG! This thing kicks so much ass it's ridiculous. I didn't really get on it any, and probably won't for a long while. All I really did was give it a substantial amount of throttle in first and second to see what it was made of. I only went to around 4k rpms, but that was enough for me for the time being. This thing just wants to GO! Second thing. I'm ordering a short shifter !TONIGHT! I HATE the stock shifter. On second thought, I loathe it. I swear GM took the shifter directly out of an S-10 and slapped it in this car. It sticks up so high it's awkward to shift. Hate it. Hate it. Hate it. Third. From the little bit of turning I did with it on the way home, it seems to handle great. I'll update more on this later after driving it some more. Fourth. Electron Blue also kicks ass. That is all. BTW, I'm the happiest guy on the planet right now. PICS ==> http://www.columbusracing.com/cgi-bin/ultimatebb.cgi?ubb=get_topic&f=5&t=003609 <==PICS [ 12.
