I think you've cracked the case

Notre Dame's defensive coordinator rocks a hella goatee. I'm pretty sure that thing calls at least 25 percent of the defensive schemes
-
Quality
You get +20 hair product points
-
Week 1 and this week have felt like bowl game weekends with all of the really quality match ups.
-
Notre Dame has great unis. I say this all the time. I hate you Notre Dame.
-
I think 250-1 since 1970
LOL for real
-
Just looked it up - USC is actually 11-1 against B1G since 2000. I think their loss was against Nebraska a year or so ago in a bowl game?
-
And I bet USC is probably like 178-0 against the B1G since 2000
-
Look for Ferentz to be given another contract extension later this week.
Because Iowa

Gary Danielson is the worst. They know it's Bama and nobody else in the SEC, so they need Bama to win the SEC to have a shot.
They (Danielson and that demented quack Verne) are like a mini propaganda machine.
Verne is like what I would be if I was drunk and concussed trying to call a game.
"WHOA LOOK OUT THAT WAS A LOT OF CONTACT LOOK OUT THAT'S NICK SABAN BAMA PORK CHOPS ISOSCELES"

Hey, Penn State won on their Salute to Pedophilia day
That fanbase is delusional. It's pathetic and insulting all at the same time.
-
It's hard to watch Alabama on CBS. It's so obvious their broadcasters are pulling heavily for them. You'd think they were playing on the Crimson Tide network
I've been saying this for years. I hate both of them. Before Bama's rise to power, they were Tebow homers.

FWIW his name cant get much worse than what it is now.
I'll start considering suggestions now...

After tonight, 3 of the last 5 teams the Buckeyes have played will have been against Blue-Bloods (Michigan, Notre Dame and Oklahoma)
That's a cool stat.
And to think we still have to play Nebraska (blue blood). And if we get matched up against another blue blood in the playoffs (Alabama or Texas, for instance), that would make 5 of the 8 blue bloods played in what amounts to one calendar year. In fact if we got 2 blue bloods in playoffs then we could get 6 of 8 (which is one away from all that would be possible, since we can't play ourselves).
Also I am considering the following to be the blue bloods
Alabama
Notre dame
Ohio state
Oklahoma
USC
Texas
Michigan
Nebraska

I will take the bet.
Ohio State wins and I get to change my name to whatever I want and I get to change your name to whatever I want.
Oklahoma wins and I will change my name to whatever you want. Or keep on being Timmy Beck.
Deal?

I heard yesterday on the Fan something I found really interesting about NDSU - they've beaten a Power 5 opponent on the road every year for the past 3 or 4 years.
-
Houston beats Cincy by 20.
Louisville beats Florida State by 17.
Alabama beats Ole Miss by 30.
Ohio State beats Oklahoma 45-24.
-
Ohio State up to #3 in AP poll.
3 B1G teams in top 10, and a couple more just outside top 10.
Looking like a really solid slate of games this weekend. Top 3 teams (Bama, FSU, and Ohio State could all easily lose).
-
Play terrible and win by 45 points.
Happy sad

AP POLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL
1 Alabama
2 Clemson
3 FSU
4 Ohio St
5 Michigan
6 Houston
7 Stanford
8 Wash
9 UGA
10 Wisconsin
11 Texas
12 MSU
13 Louisville
14 Oklahoma
15 TCU
16 Iowa
17 Tennessee
18 Notre Dame
19 Ole Miss
20Texas A&M
21 LSU
22 Oklahoma St.
23 Baylor
24 Oregon
25 Miami
Some thoughts:
- I kind of like that the AP voters were just like "fuck it let's just slot Texas and Wisconsin in here because last week we didn't know either of them existed"
- top 5 seems about right
- top 10 seems about right, too, I guess.
- LSU should be nowhere close to the top 25. Wisconsin dominated them, really
- Ole Miss likely shouldn't have dropped that far. FSU has a solid team and were playing what amounted to a home game
- LOL Tennessee where dat hype train goin'
-
100% this. You might be my spirit animal.

Nonsense, Alabama could lose to Alcorn State right now and still make the playoffs.
They'll likely lose to Ole Miss, and then ESPN will be sure to tell us this is because of how rigorous the SEC West is, and how Ole Miss "has their number," and how Alabama "didn't want to be there," etc., etc.
Ole Miss didn't look terrible. I agree, their QB is an idiot. He's like Christian Hackenburg: the longer he is in college the worse he appears to play.
Florida State has a lot of talent. I think they are one of the few teams that has the talent/athleticism to be able to play with the likes of Alabama.

I just LOL'ed at meteor winning the game comment.

I was pulling for Texas for several reasons:
1. There's never a bad time for Notre Dame to lose.
2. As an Ohio State fan, I want Notre Dame to have as many losses as possible. An undefeated Notre Dame is a lock for the playoff, and thus would take away a slot.
3. As an Ohio State fan, I want Strong to turn it around at Texas just enough to take him off the hot seat so that the Texas job doesn't become available and, hence, Herman doesn't take it. Rather, I'd like for Herman to hang out at Houston for a couple more years and wait for Meyer to retire here and then return to be the head coach at Ohio State.
Some other takeaways:
1. Baylor can die in a car fire. I didn't like them before, now I just despise them. They are trying to play this "us against the world" mentality. Yes, because rapists should all band together and fight against the oppression. The struggle is real.
2. Penn State fans are delusional. It's embarrassing how blind they are to the whole Joe Pa shit. I lost what little respect I had for that program a long time ago.
3. Alabama looks scary good on defense. It's amazing what they have going on there right now.
4. It was great to see USC get their asses handed to them. Though, had that game been played in, say, 2003, I bet it's USC that handed out the curbstomping. Alabama was down and out then, just kind of like USC is now.
5. All the upsets in the opening weekend are great, but also just more evidence that preseason rankings are stupid.
6. I love how Ohio State played. What's not to love, right? I'll pump my brakes before declaring JT the Heisman winner and Ohio State a lock for the playoff. However, it's a pretty good start to both. It's clear we have a shit ton of talent and how those recruiting classes are paying dividends. I'm excited to see this team play.
7. The two QB crap last year fucked us up, I think. Psychologically, it has to just really mess with both QBs, which, in turn, affects their play negatively. Think about what would have happened had this been last year: JT throws that pick and would have got yanked with the quickness. This year, though, he's clearly the starter, so it's not like he has to worry about looking over his shoulder, etc. So, he goes back out and proceeds to throw 6 TD passes, runs for another, and sets a couple of records in the process. I don't think that happens last year.
8. I think last year's team was complacent, played tight, and had one foot out the door on the way to the next level. Hopefully, the youth on this team will translate into hunger and a desire to dominate.
