Yeah, I saw that one too. While I chuckled at the first vid - since, in my head, I just told myself that she was fine - I actually turned the second video off about 30 seconds into it; with the kid crying and obviously hurt, I didn't have the heart to keep watching it. Though, I completely agree with the intent of your post - that second kid got jacked up.

Christ, people, chill out. They're just fucking tires. I've had Nitto DRs before, they worked fine for cruising around on the street. Yeah, they suck at the track and they hook less well than BFG's, let alone MT's. I'm not wedded to them by any means. All I was looking for in using them was to have a temporary set up that would be satisfactory for weekends like the one coming up - where I'm running some boost but far from a lot - and doing mostly cruising. And, no, when I think of cruising around, I don't envision doing it on a 15" or 16" tire. Yes, when I crank up the boost for serious action (e.g., money races), you can bet that it will be a smaller tire with a MT on there. That won't be this weekend. So, just because I'm asking for Nittos doesn't mean that's the only tire I ever intend to run. I appreciate all of the input nonetheless, so thanks.

Joe with the Viper has been AWOL for months. Good luck tracking that guy down. Besides, I've never seen him race once.

It's been a long time in the making. Unfortunately, the race that was supposed to happen - the one that got this whole thing started, i.e., my TT Z06 versus the Colt with the ginormous turbo - will never happen, but this meet should still be good nonetheless. JP et al. sound like they are going to roll down here with some fast cars, so we're hoping to have some fast ones here waiting on them.

My assumption is because they were actually with him (i.e., accomplices, etc.). And even if they weren't, then, well, there's always bystander apathy. Anyway, the point is that guy deserves to be beaten mercilessly. And kudos to the old guy for hanging in there; he took a whole lot of dingers at point blank range.

In anticipation of racing the Cleveland guys this weekend, I need some better rubber on the rears. Specifically, I'm looking for two Nitto drag radials, size 305/35/R18, and I need them by this weekend. Post up here if you've got the tire hookup. It was nice to be back out in the mix. Nope, car's fine - like Jeff said, just got a little warm. I got in a few highway pulls last night. One with Brett in his Porsche, one with Joe in his FD, and another mini-run with a Hyabusa. All in all, I was pleased with the way the Z06 performed. Now it's time to turn up the boost...
