  1. Yeah, I thought it was odd that he said that it has a motor "that comes with it." The image I got from that was a shell of a car and, in a box to the side of it, the motor that goes with it. Maybe it was just the way he worded it. Anyway, this thread is shaping up to have some potential.
  2. Cool, will do. I talked with the guy who owns the RX-7 (that I referenced in my earlier post in this thread). He told me to shoot him a PM whenever we wanted to head out that way and he'd see about rounding up some guys on that end. Sounds like you have connections out there already - awesome. The more the merrier, I say. Except when it comes to venereal diseases.
  3. Wish there better angles - there's only so much you can see from 600 cars back. Those guys are apparently out of Indy. I saw on another board some racing out of Indy that featured at MKIV and a second-gen RX7 with an LS1. Once my car is back, I may be up for organizing a cruise out that way. Berto lives out there now, so I'm sure we can all shack up with him.
  4. Plus the one. Also, my psychic powers are hard at work again, predicting an inevitable move/lock/delete of this thread. Oh, psychic powers, how I love you and your psychic ways.
  5. Well, I graduated high school when I was 14-years old, so that may be part of it.
  6. Point A-to-B Autobody is a great place for alinements. They provide the shortest distance possible between you and a fixed car. Drop them align sometime.
  7. Yeah, sorry, I didn't mean to imply that he would have that car of that caliber done that quickly and here for a meet. I agree - I don't you could get a set-up like that turned around that quickly.
  8. Not sure if he'll bring anything down, but the word I got was that he was in the process building up an FD - I'd imagine one with at least an LSx engine and probably a turbo on top of that. That, of course, would be no joke if it was put together properly.
  9. "I sense the presence of gayness here."
  10. And meanwhile, Anakin's brother - Perry Skywalker - opted to follow the "alternative" side of the Force.
  11. Well, for the week after that - which would be Friday, Sept. 1, there are whispers of the Cleveland crew (e.g., Coltboostin et al.) coming into town. So, at this point, I'd steer clear of that day just in case. The week before - which would be the 18th - could potentially work, though that may be a bit to soon for me/my car to make it, and I'd really like to be a part of the crew that goes up there (for obvious reasons). Maybe two weeks after the 25th - which would be Sept 8/Sept 9 - would work better?
  12. Well, no wind sprints for you, then. The other guy's EVO - one that got into trouble with the DEA and was on the news for the police chase in St. Louis - had "sneaky Pete's" hidden within the fender wells.
  13. I hope he does buy one, since I'm slated to race him in it.
  14. What if, though, that EVO is, in fact, the IPS EVO? Then he and you would both be wrong and would have to run wind sprints for 10 minutes.
  15. Headlines read: "Wrong answer."
  16. Didn't you start a thread (which got locked and/or deleted) that was titled something to the effect of "Pics of my turbo" and then, in the body of the post, said something like, "My turbo will be here soon and as soon as it is I'll post some pics!" and so on?
  17. The guy that owned the EVO before IPS actually got into some trouble with the DEA and, from what I heard, is doing a bunch of time in a federal prison in Beckley, West Virginia. He had to unload the EVO to cover some of his lawyer fees, I guess.
  18. Where's the second gunman on the grassy knoll when you really need him?
  19. Sometimes, in the excitement to share something that an individual perceives to be novel and worthwhile, the cerebral cortex experiences seizure-like activity. This "Jacksonian march," which emanates from the left temporal lobe and migrates across the parietal and occipital lobes into the right temporal lobe, essentially paralyzes the frontal lobe, robbing the individual of the ability to engage in even simplistic cognitive functions, such as immediate memory, visual scanning, and sequencing. Commensurately, judgment is likewise impaired, which compounds the already mounting cognitive impairment. The end result is what we in the psychological sciences like to refer to as a "stupid fucking repost."
  20. 199 - to the muthafuckin - 2. And it shows; you can't even spell Greyhounds correctly.

    Allergies

My allergies have been jacking me up all spring/summer long.
  22. Am I the only one that actually kind of agrees with Joe (Nitrousbird)? That does sound like a whole lot of money for only 400hp. NOTE: I realize there is way more to cars than just HP/performance. However, if you'll note, he (i.e., Firehead Studios) is the one brought up the HP thing by implying that their gunning for 400hp.
  23. Objection sustained. Question asked and answered. Move on, counselor.
