  1. Quoted for the fact that it's the fucking truth for Johnny Z06.
  2. Why don't you fags be even more vague so the people who weren't there are completely fucking clueless about what you're talking about? TIA jerks.
  3. Nice backhand return by the noob.
  4. Not mine, but a guy out of Houston that has gone with a set-up similiar to mine (e.g., a 402 LS2), only he's using the STS rear-mount turbo kit. I came across a dyno graph he recently posted. 850rwhp @ 13.6psi. For the sake of preview, my set-up will be good for around 20psi with bigger turbos. So, this graph makes me optimistic for what's to come. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v199/GarettO/IMG_3602.jpg Also, here's a vid of a TT Lingenfelter Z06 at the track. This vid has been out for about a year, so you may have seen it. I'm not sure on the numbers (e.g., the size of engine, the rwhp, etc.). In any event, it gives you an idea as to the potential of these kinds of set-ups. http://media.putfile.com/Sick-Vette
  5. My computer won't allow me to download Quicktime for some reason, so I can't watch the vid. BTW, the title of your thread confused me at first; I initially thought it was a race between a GTO and an STi that had been fitted with an LSx engine. I was like, "An LSx Sti?"
  6. Hold on, am I understanding you correctly? Are you saying that it's okay to dig race on the street and do 160 in 8 seconds but it's wrong to do 160 from a 60-roll in 10 seconds? Aren't you going 160 either way?

    RWTD Tuning

    If I remember correctly, it was 480rwhp and 630rwtq on a 2.93 pulley/chip/flowmaster cat-back exhaust/50-shot from a dry kit.

    RWTD Tuning

Mail-order tunes have a reputation for being "cookie cutter" in nature - that is, you aren't really getting a "custom" tune, you're just getting some generic tune that is presented as though it's "custom" made for your car. Sure, they may alter a thing here or there, but it's far less "custom" than (1) it's made to be and (2) what you'd get if you actually put it up on the dyno and had a tuner there to manipulate the variables. In the defense of mail-order tunes, there really is only so much they can do, especially from a liability standpoint. Think about it, they can't add a bunch of timing and tweak the tune to lean the car way out because then they'd be in trouble for blowing up everybody's car. In any event, I think Linn was playing on the whole "cookie cutter" image by implying (accurately, I think) that tunes like that are pretty much "copy and paste." Not that their customer service can't be good, it's just that there's only so much you can get out of those kind of mail order tunes.
  9. The GT500 weighs some 800 pounds more than the C6. That's a lot - that's the rough equivalent of giving up 80rwhp. So, even though the GT500 has 100 more (rated flywheel) HP, it seems like it needs every bit of it just to remain on a even performance playing field with the C6. Thanks for posting up the prices of the C6 and the GT500. Seems like I was right - they are in the same class. If that's true, then, well, the C6 Z06 isn't in the same class, is it? So, it's not fair to say, "Well, the C6 Z06 will spank the GT500, but give me the extra money that you'd spend on the cost of the C6 Z06 to mod the GT500 and I'll destroy the C6 Z06." My reasoning? Well, because, if you use the rationale we're establishing (e.g., that the GT500 is more in the class of the standard C6), then you'd have to say that the C6 Z06 is actually in a class above the GT500 and competes with the Ford GT. And, if that's the case, then you could turn around and use the same argument: "Yeah, well, the Ford GT may beat the C6 Z06 stock for stock, but give me all the extra cash that the GT costs to mod the Z06 and watch me walk all over the GT." BTW, I don't think the performance of the C6 Z06 and the Ford GT are too far apart.
  10. Wow, one of the better messageboard faux pas I've seen in a while. For that, you get a double slap: Good job!
  11. Dig races happen there too.
  12. So does pedophilia, child pornography, serial killings, and Anthrax mailings.
  13. Gearhead, here's a question for you: Why is that, even though my car isn't designed for dig racing, I have no problem dig racing you, but, even though your car isn't designed for roll racing, you absolutely refuse to roll race me? Seriously, Gearhead, seriously.
  14. Racial discrimination exists, unfortunately. Affirmative action isn't the right way to compensate for it.
  15. LOL - thanks for pointing out to me how long I've been without my car, Ben. Jerk. The car will be done when the car is done. Hopefully, that'll be soon, but, if it's not, then it's not the end of the world. In any event, I can assure you that, when I do have the car back, I'm going to have a whole lot of fucking fun in it. So, Benny, you can just chill out with the questions and instead call your pal Johnny XXX to coordinate an evening of boobs and drinks.
  16. Yeah, I'm up there some Sundays - makes sense, since I'm really close to there. Once my car is back, I'll be up there with more regularity - and I'll try to organize a more coordinated get-together.
  17. LOL - touche. Linn's post should have ended the thread.
  18. Good question. How do we define "class?" I would assume by dollar value. How much does a new C6 cost, and how much does the GT500 cost? If they are comparable, then I'd say they're in the same class. Also, I would agree that the C6 Z06 and the Ford GT are in the same class. Notably, though, I think that the edge goes to the C6 Z06, since it costs considerably less but puts out about the same in terms of performance numbers.
  19. LOL. What in the fuck did I just watch? "It's zappin' mah pawwers." Worst.acting.ever.
  20. I agree wholeheartedly.
  21. DJ, like Clark said, try http://www.corvetteforum.com Also look into http://www.Z06vette.com Additionally, Greg @ IPS has a few connections with vendors - I'd consider giving him a call.
