  1. Clearly we have some differences in opinions regarding the relative merits of different announcers. I won't hold that against you guys.
  2. And Jack Arute was a stupid little twerp that didn't belong anywhere near a competitive sporting event.
  3. Holy Buckeye doesn't even make sense. He's an idiot and always been biased against Ohio State, and it had nothing to do with ESPN or an SEC agenda.
  4. The bad lip reading vids are one of the quality things of the internet. I lost it on the "hoe much do I offend you?" part with Marvin Lewis.
  5. I think Blackedge and Nesser are about the best in the business. I don't mind Gus Johnson calling a college football game. I also don't mind Fowler or Herbstreit. Danielson and Lundquist are about the worst. I get why they are so pro-SEC, but I would think that any SEC fan with half a brain would realize all they do is pander. And then I remember that, collectively, the entire SEC fanbase has only about a quarter of a brain. Brent Musburger used to annoy the fuck out of me when he was ABC's #1 announcer and always called the Ohio State games. He was mega-biased against Ohio State. Keith Jackson was too. Everyone has these really fond memories of Keith Jackson. I don't. When he wasn't senile and just not making any sense on the air, he was anti-Ohio State and pro-Michigan, pro-Florida State, and pro-Nebraska.
  6. Bump this thread for me in 2018, please.
  7. What a moron. Though, I think he was very articulate considering how Alabama's nuts are so firmly nestled in his mouth.
  8. http://gigapixel.panoramas.com/cfp/2015/ Scroll around the entire stadium - kind of cool. No cheerleaders, though. Click the "hide tags" to make less cluttered.
  9. As of last night, the WatchESPN app has the NC game from the spidercam available to watch. I've alternated between watching a replay of it and the traditional telecast last couple of nights. Also, count me as a another person who thinks vacating wins is stupid.
  10. Meh not really great for the fans. The least little slip up that JT has and fans will be screaming for Cardale to replace him. And vice versa if Cardale is starter.
  11. Well, could we really have expected anything different? All this fucking kid does is blow up expectations and destroys preconceived notions we have for him. Cardale being Cardale. Fuck it is crazy being an Ohio State fan right now. This shit is just bananas. Now, is there any way Devin Smith can find a way to stay another year???
  12. The only preseason threat I see to JT winning the Heisman is Boykin, the QB at TCU. He put up really good numbers last year and should be expected to do the same. However, I think that, if they both do equally as well, they'll award the Heisman to JT. I think JT's season last year - and it ending kind of tragically with the injury - will be a nice ace up his sleeve and a tie breaker. Besides, if JT does well, and Ohio State does well, then he'll be the best player on the best team (or one of the best teams) in the nation, and that's always a great combo for winning the Heisman. And now I'm getting ahead of myself thinking of all the additional hardware Ohio State might collect in the next year or two...
  13. Your father is a wise man. And Braxton is brittle. I don't care if his doctors tell me his shoulder has been replaced with adamantium - I don't want him under center for my team.
  14. I picture him entering to the Emperor's march or whatever music Darth Vader always had playing when he walks in somewhere. Just total badass.
  15. Seriously nuts. Just bonkers. I have a hard time acknowledging that it's real.
  16. I hope he goes. Not only is it a great ending, but, selfishly, it helps alleviate my angst about the QB situation next year. DJ - yup, before we know it, Ohio State is going to be the new Quarterback U. It was already Tailback U (and will continue to be with Elliot's success). Zack - I think I heard today that as many as 8 teams in NFL will or may be looking for a QB in the draft, and I instantly thought, "Fuck, if I'm Cardale, then I'm out and in that draft for sure." And if you're a sure-fire 2nd round (or even 3rd round) pick, then I think you have to go. I never fault anyone for trying to make a living. Selfishly, I wish everyone stayed and made this massive Voltron unbeatable OSU mega team, but business is business and people need to make a career for themselves. I don't begrudge a man who makes his money, ever. Besides, this will only add to his lore and mystique.
  17. I am not kidding in the least. I would propose trying to keep as much as the original structure - the Horseshoe - as possible, and that way all the history buffs can stay happy. But, I'd also note that, eventually, the thing is going to crumble to the ground. So, I'd advocate for being proactive and reforming things in a way that (1) revitalizes the structure (2) retains what history we can retain and (3) benefits our community, the city, and our local economy. Also, I'm against not changing something just for not changing's sake. It's progress and evolution and, done correctly, it's awesome. I guess the primary problem would be that it's something owned by Ohio State, not like a private company or person (like Jerry Jones), and that would cause a bunch of issues when it comes to who gets profits for things like the Superbowl. However, I'd note that Ohio Stadium has hosted non-OSU events before and that's worked out. I completely agree with everything else you said.
  18. True. Which is why they need to put a retractable roof on Ohio Stadium. Then we can host Superbowls.
  19. Not sure why they don't hold it in the Schott? Seriously.
  20. VT beat us fair and square. And we beat everyone else fair and square.
  21. I think it's funny too. Guess who won't think it's funny heading into the first game of the year? And guess who's going to use things like this as motivation next year? VT better get their jokes in now. I have a feeling Ohio State is going to want to make a statement in Blacksburg.
  22. Jordan please keep us updated. If my math is correct, they are seeing approximately 120 HP and 120 TQ increases over stock. That would work with me. But does it affect warranty?
  23. I think Miami of 2001 is likely the greatest CFB team of all time, or certainly of the modern era. The only other team that I think is in the discussion with them is the 1995 Nebraska team.
