  1. I'm on East Broad and it is raining fairly steady. Is everything still on?
  2. I didn't make registration, but if i can get my ass out of bed real early i might try to make one of the open spots. I wanted to get one more event in before my car goes into surgery.
  3. Yes, the tires are still available, tires actually have less than 25 miles on them.
  4. I have two new (well, less than a 100 miles on them) 245/45/17 Kuhmo Ecsta MX tires. Excellent dry grip and good wet weather performance. They are on the front of my dad's vette, but he has decided to go with a different size. They are about a week old, but have only been driven on once. If interested either email or call me. I think he paid $150 each for them, but I could be wrong (I will find out more if you are interested). Asking $220 for the pair. Thanks Matt stachler.9@osu.edu 614-570-4091
  5. I am celebrating heavily on the 26th (defending my PhD on the 23rd), but if I think I can make it out of bed, I am going to try to make it. This might me my last chance in a few weeks to make it out.
  6. If you have never been on a road coarse, should one wait until they can go to one with instructors?
  7. This was your first time right? I (not that I know anything) and several others commented on how well you were doing for your first time. I think I was working a corner with someone you know. I had a great time as well, had a good instructor that helped out a lot. I went from 52 to 40.02 I was soooo close to breaking into the 39s, but just could not make it. I just could not get everything together in one run. +2 on the need for tires though.
  8. I just registered for the drivers school, looking forward to learning some.
  9. I am going to try to make an event or two this spring (especially the drivers school). See if I can't get some better times. School is betting real busy though so I don't know how many I can make it to. The 2 times I made it out last year I had a good time. I know the Mustang has some better times in it, it is the driver holding it back It was going to be pushing 450-500rwhp and R-compound tires, but all of that fell through so it is the same as last year.
  10. Its kinda interesting, if you look at the fatality curves for most "flu" strains they look exactly like you suggested (ie the young and old die), but if you look at some of the most deadliest strains the curve is the exact opposite. Those with strong immune systems died. Since these are deep respiratory infections, it was suggested that the immune system was actually destroying too much of the lung tissue in the process of fighting the infection and killing people...
  11. It's all over blown. There is potential for problems, but I'm not worried. Reminds me of Y2K. Matt (I play with viruses every day)
  12. I was planning on going until they moved it to Sat. I have Football tickets... The larger track could have been good for me. Isn't there one more "non-points" event?
  13. Man, you have a great looking car. That thing was spotless and good times to boot.
  14. That was me. Nice to meet you.
  15. I had a great time too, perfect day (I got a little burnt too). My times still suck, but I'm slowly I am getting the hang of it. My car just isn't much of a beginners car. I really need to get smoother through the turns and learn to trust I'm not going to spin. BTW like stanello said, there was one Fox (cobra I think). Only a couple C4s, a fair amount of C5s. There was even another Bullitt out there!
  16. So it you ARE preregistared, what time should you be there? Thanks Matt
  17. I would second looking into childrens. I know there are several new PIs that may be looking for research techs. I don't know any for sure, but it is worth a look.
  18. I think they still have 100 unleaded. To get 104 I had to drive to logan.
  19. Good luck this weekend, Unfortunately I have a to do something for school so I will not be able to make it. If we get out in time I might stop by and watch. Matt
  20. Damn, Sorry I missed it. I was going to see if I could NOT take out the finishing timer this time... Maybe I'll try for the next event.
  21. How busy are the friday nights? I was thinking about going out, but didn't want to waste my time if it is like their Sunday T&Ts. The last time I went out on Sunday, I spent all day there and only got one run in. There were just so many cars and people kept on spraying down the track with oil. Thanks Matt
  22. that's sounds cheap for 110, but I have to have unleaded. This is a daily driver and I don't want to damage my O2 sensors. I did find a place that sells GT plus (104 unleaded). They have it by the pump or by 55 gallon drums @ 5.15/gallon. It is called Bazell racing fuel. Unfortunatly, it is in Logan but that is the closest I can find it. Thanks Matt
  23. I talked to someone at Trails and they said they don't carry anything over 100 unleaded and that they only use VP fuels. I'm not so sure they really knew what they were talking about though. I am going to try to talk to the owner of the Eastland Sunoco/Citco and see what he can do. It turns out he is a friend of a friend... Anyway, if I have to purchase a 55 gallon drum I would be willing so sell/split it with anyone interested. I know I will be in trouble if I have the good gas just sitting in my garage, it will be sooo temepting Again, thanks for everyones interest/help! Matt
  24. I have multiple tunes on the car. I have a "detuned" tune I can squeek by on 94 octane with. I use that for my daily driving. I need the 104 for the performance tune. I will have to check the tracks out, Thanks! I had talked to a couple of people about Trails and they were a little iffy on when/if the pumps were ever open. I think I will give Trails a call this evening.
