  1. My wife's CR-V is going to need new tires before the year's out and I've started researching some replacements. She's got Yokohama YK520s on there now and they're acceptable. They're not cupped or anything and they are noisy as shit on the highway and ride a bit hard, so I want something different. Big thing for us is quiet ride and good in rain/snow. She drives about 7000 miles per year so I'm not worried about longevity really. Performance is obviously not important either. I've found these (http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tires.jsp?tireMake=Sumitomo&tireModel=Touring+LS+T&partnum=165TR6TOURLS&vehicleSearch=true&fromCompare1=yes&autoMake=Honda&autoYear=2006&autoModel=CR-V&autoModClar=) as well as these (http://ntb.com/tires/sku-detail/Yokohama-Avid-TRZ/P215-65R16-98T-215-65-16/sku20679.s?pageName=TireLandingBySize&skuId=sku20679&activeTab=1). I'll send a message to Derek obviously, but I was wondering if there's anything I'm missing as far as a good tire.
  2. Who's got enough money in West By-God Virginia to own that??
  3. http://www.marykelleys.com Their Web site says they've shut down. I've always had a great time there and took out of town guests there a lot. It's a real shame.
  4. I've seen plenty of cars that were long overdo for a belt and still running. Don't assume that because its got the mileage on it that the belt was replaced.
  5. I recommend finding out if its had its timing belt changed.
  6. I second the Mazdas. You could also do a 3rd Generation Nissan Altima (pre-CVT).
  7. A co-worker of mine has tons of ash trees that were cut down a few months ago. I'm sure he'd sell you a shitload of it for cheap. Lives between Bethel Road and E. Case Road.
  8. Love the look with those wheels.
  9. I love my Mazda because it was one of the best handling compact car back in 2005 and still is. In 8 years, 112000 incredibly hard miles and two accidents, it has been pretty much flawless. It's still fun to drive, gets 29-30 MPG religiously, and everything still works on it. It's truly sad to see it start to fall apart literally before my eyes after all this time.
  10. Such a good-looking truck. I hope they don't change too much when it goes into production.
  11. Thanks for hanging around until I got there tonight.
  12. I can meet you at work if that's easier. If not, I can meet you at Bed Bath if that works better.
  13. Used to go all the time when I lived there. It's a very cool show and watching those classic cars run the course is a blast.
  14. Buying wheels and transferring the tires was my second idea. Tires will be a slightly different size but that won't bother me. Other way around. Mazda3 to a Focus.
  15. What I am trying to do is put my current winter set on a new car I'm considering. And I figured if I can get them to fit with a little bit out of pocket as opposed to purchasing a whole new set, it would be worth it. All good information though. I guess I've got some more research to do.
  16. I've used PetSmart right on Sawmill before. My wife and I were very hesitant to board my dog, but he did very well there and didn't want to leave the first time we went to pick him up.
  17. Good question. They're 16x6.5 wheels with 205/60-16 tires from a Gen1 Speed3, but I'm not sure of the offset. It might be 50.
  18. I am trying to figure out is if I can get wheels with a 67.1mm hub bore and 5x114.3 bolt pattern to somehow fit on a car with a 63.4mm hub bore and 5x108 bolt pattern. I have found adapters that will work (http://www.motorcitybolton.com/5x108-to-5x4-5-1-25-wheel-adapter.html?gclid=CP6duvWYsrgCFSYV7AodknMArA), but the hub size is 73.1. Would I just buy a couple different sets of hub centric rings to make everything match? Thanks.
  19. Great. Where and when can we meet? I live by Tuttle and work in Delaware.
  20. Had the 5.2. I got in enough trouble with it as it was. Practiced my drifting quite a bit on the gravel roads around my parents house in 2WD.

Nothing fancy really, but it's what I learned to drive in and then drove it all over Pittsburgh blasting the Infinity in high school. Got lucky in it a few times too. First taste of true freedom.
