  1. I've been turned down for jobs because I have a beard. A few of them dealt with customers but there are some places that will still follow that "rule"
  2. Was there Friday. Talked to Andy for a bit myself. What's his name on here?
  3. Let me know when you get your stuff together.
  4. I've had a beard for about 13 years now. Hides my double chin well and it's one of the reasons how I met my wife (she loves to run her hands through it). I keep it pretty trimmed as having a beard in sales is a no-no. I would like to try some of those oils I've seen pop up but I use a 2-in-1 Head and Shoulders which keeps it soft and flame free.
  5. Soon after I bought my car, I ordered some General Arctic Artimaxs and steelies from Derek when he was at Tire Discounters. I drove in snow with the Eagles once coming from the Dayton airport and I'll never do it again. They haven't turned into hockey pucks yet, however.
  6. I'm rolling on my Eagle F1s until it snows.

I go cheap and get Anco/Trico for our cars. They last over a year most of the time and I've never had an issue with cracking or breaking of the wiper.
  8. I'd like to read it if you get the chance to scan it.
  9. My parents used to get me a flu shot every year in middle and high school. Only got sick once. I skipped getting them for a few years in college and got the flu twice. I now get them for free from Byers so it's a no-brainer for me. My wife is a pre-school teacher so she needs one. She needs all the protection she can get.
  10. I have to wait until May?
  11. I'd love an AWD 3.5 EcoBoost Fusion Titanium with a six-speed manual.
  12. I've got a 250gb external Hard drive as well as a Dropbox account for myself and my wife.
  13. I don't have any problem putting power down in my ST. There's some torque steer, but I'm not just spinning my tires relentlessly. I would check out the GTI and GLI from VW. Great cars, nicely made and are still fun to drive.
  14. A buddy of mine is going to run 15" Sparcos wheels with Nitto winter tires this year. I'm waiting to hear back what size the tires are.
  15. What he said, minus the football. A lot of it is the company. I like working for Byers. I've got some pretty laid back bosses who put family first, which is the complete opposite of MAG. Being with Ford is fun too. A lot more laid back and have an overall great product. The other big part is having a very thick skin. Yeah, some of the time you get great customers who love you and are genuinely grateful for helping them. There's few feelings better than that, at least to me. On the other spectrum, the thick skin comes in with the tire kickers, the Internet super shoppers and the plain old assholes. They seem to come in waves and you have to be strong enough to ride it out or it will destroy you. I've seen it happen more times than I can count. It's not for everyone, but if you're passionate about cars (like me) or a really good bullshitter (not me), you bust your ass and work 50-60 hours per week (including weekends), then you will do okay.
  16. Are you looking to get into it, or just want to know what it's like?
  17. I'll be driving the new truck here in a few weeks, including the 2.7, and can give you my thoughts on it if you'd like.
  18. How did the vegetables turn out? I don't think I've ever had smoked vegetables before.
  19. Great place for a hole in the wall. I was at Crafted Drafts earlier tonight off N. Hamilton for a tasting party and it was a nice place if you're on the east side.
  20. I use MagicJack. Works fine as a second line to our cells. It's like $60-70 to start out with a free year, then it's like $30/year or $100 for 5. Plugs into a wall outlet and I use a 4-handset cordless phone system in my house.
