  1. Was at AIM today, in person They have a huge sign outside listing everything they are sold out of, which is just about everything We bought the last two bricks of 9mm ammo All they had left were a few mags for AR's He said, basically...anything related a semi-automatic rifle was gone last tuesday
  2. Indeed, it seems. So you don't have any left? I guess, pm's would be easier if you run across a reasonably normally priced one with parts kit. Might take two
  3. You already have 'em? How many do we need for a group buy at that price? I'd probably take one with the lower parts kit in there - something i'd need regardless
  4. *mutter* I still have a hard time believing these won't be cheap in a few months. Or, at least back to normal prices. With the economy how it is...I bet the factories are working 24/7 to produce as many as possible
  5. I was going to walk into Aim Friday I tried going Tuesday, but it was veterans day 6-8 months seems a bit extreme So yea, I'd be interested in that group buy I'd probably take two - what do you think the timetable is on those?
  6. What's the price on those? I could head over pretty quick Edit: $200 (I called) I'll just sign up at Aim for some cheapie $79.00 Superior Arms....on a waiting list - i'm in no hurry thanks for posting the notice though
  7. impressive I'm hitting AIM surplus tomorrow. I'll report back
  8. eh, wait 5 months and there might even be a few coming back on the market
  9. Indeed. And if they do anything, they'll be clever about it...after a few years. Particularly if they're doing well with the economy - might try to start slipping a few things in when people won't complain (most)
  10. I'm in no hurry - if it takes a few months for them to calm down: whatever Obama isn't going to ban them any time soon...people are just being hysterical just curious if someone on here had one
  11. Thinking about building my own AR15 Or rather, the girl wants one....she's in columbus (i no longer live in the area) Stripped lower wanted, might consider other parts - pm me =]
  12. If and when I have kids/wife/whatever...... I'll just plan on having my bedroom be off limits...with a gun rather easily accessible in there. Locked even, maybe An uncle has a very nice little hidden spot above the front door at his house. A weird little indentation that is behind the trim, where he keeps a snub-nose. I'd consider doing something like that too Gotta be 6 foot or so to reach up and back there to grab it
  13. ...wouldn't be my own kids I'm worried about But other kids visiting...and accidents...stuff like that Keeping it out of reach seems wise I'd hate to see my wife rapped
  14. Agree with Copperhead. The best sporting gun won't make the best home protection gun. Get a cheap $80 pump at the local gun show - a beater for home protection (or spend a bit more and get a Mossberg 500, as mentioned - good recommendation) For sporting, I recommend the semi-auto Mossberg 9200 to beginners. Lifetime warranty on any needed repairs from Mossberg 12 gauge...takes 3" shells and a very nice gun for pretty reasonable prices. I've seen them from 325 - 450. Not much more than a pump 870 Rifled deer barrels are $120 or so...etc Spend more and get an 1100 or 1187 if you want, but not really necessary to begin with You'll appreciate the auto when you're hunting and see a big deer...and forget to keep pumping the damned thing

    WTB Revolver

GP100 is one hell of a gun. Love mine. Big frame on it makes it pretty comfy A wesson gun is quite nice too, though
  16. I've got one of those big ac/dc lincoln stick welders that what you're looking for? I never use it - almost new Bought a little cheapie MIG instead looks something like this http://www.weldingmart.com/Qstore/custom/acdc225.gif
  17. i was told 2 gauge was the way to go....and make sure it's battery type wire don't get it at lowes
  18. bought mine from the advance in middletown ohio about two weeks ago Try another advance They literally had a huge roll of it and just counted out the feet I grabbed a few battery connectors, a copper starter connector and was golden If advance there doesn't have it, napa or some joint in town has to
  19. or you can simply go to advance auto and buy the 2 gauge battery cable by the foot 1.85 a foot or something, i believe? $35 in cable...$10 in fittings...maybe a $10.00 battery box and you probably have nicer than what you'd get at jegs
  20. Offically down 25 points and Boeckman is still in. You'd think Tressel would finally be a bit aggressive. Put Pryor in and let it rip? Or pass on a first down? Maybe? Possibly? Nope. Lets start a log. Play #1 Screen play 4 yards behind the line of scrimmage (gains 3 though) Play #2 Draw play (gets lucky first down) Play #3 Draw play Play #4 Boeckman running for his life and getting called for intentional grounding. Messed up option play or run for Boeckman? No idea what this was. Play #5 Finally tried to throw because it was 3rd and 25. Fails miserably. How fucking ridiculous - predictable. It's painful. Even the commentators are calling what plays Ohio State will probably use, next. Herb just said, "And it's 3rd down. We'll probably see a draw or screen here."
  21. Glad we agree. I've been saying this for years, and get shouted down by the, "we won xx games this year. We beat Michigan. We won the xxxxxx bowl this year, we've been in the national title x times, we're ranked #xx this year" The Big 10 is weak and OSU's recent accomplishments have been more a factor of the weak/nice/lucky schedule they play than anything. I wish we had a coach with balls. When was the last time USC called a play that began behind their defensive line? They're always attacking - always going forward. If i see another slow-developing play where the ball is pitched backward 5 yards, I'm going to scream
  22. a-damned-greed Shutup Tressel. You'll have to play a bit more aggressively
  23. And why the fuck aren't we seeing more of Pryor? Boeckman looks like a deer in headlights when they send a few people in He tucks the ball in and it's done... At least Pryor makes those 5 yard gains
