  1. and on the same note: at least this is one of the few guys that's actually stepping up and doing the right thing, more or less - regardless of what happened previously. I have another buddy in the exact same situation. The girl has 7 possible guys and hasn't done a DNA test on any of them (yet). He thinks it's probably his, but who knows! While this guy is taking an active role and paying support, my other friend is more or less running from the situation! (while 4 of the guys are paying some sort of support) And to hit on a previous comment. Yes, the situation with baby momma's is ridiculous. After having seen a lot of cases...it's ridiculous where some women set out to have kids with at least 3 different daddys (4 is better). That seems to be the threshold...3 different support checks coming in at once ensures the woman can sit on her ass and just take care of the children all day long while getting medical support/other benefits from the government. With men so scared of going to court, these women can extort rather large amounts (more or less under the table) while also getting welfare/food stamps/medical benefits from the gov't eg: Pulling out the paper at the turn of the new year...all 3 local towns around me had single mommas smiling over their kid that was the first baby of the new year.
  2. Family law = state by state What's good in Georgia might not be good in Ohio might be similar...might not be Medical report: I sure hope hospitals wouldn't release PERSONAL information without a court order I don't want my/your/anyone's info that readily available
  3. I think we have it easy. Men have the ability to throw $$$ at a problem to make it go away. Women are basically stuck. No comparison between the drama of a baby daddy and baby momma. That girl's life is over. I'm seriously not allowed to say much more than 'get a lawyer' Noone is. (not just because of law school) They've criminalized "giving legal advice" when not licensed. The Bar wants its $$$$ and doesn't want normal people opening up law firms without having spent $200k on a legal education. Fockers. So, noone here is supposed to give much information...i just happen to be rather weary of that law
  4. Good point. Police reports are public information. Just go to the local records, or maybe even search online depending where it happened
  5. as a mere 3rd year law student, i'm not allowed to give you advice even though i worked in a family law office for a while Take the document to a lawyer that can represent you There are often certain formalities involved with documents like this (not saying there are or are not) delete!
  6. lawyer, lawyer, lawyer as fast as possible delete!
  7. Reading something like that, from time to time....is the best sort of birth control available. I won't be getting it up for at least 3 days.

+1 And the last game or two, at that. Declining ticket sales FTW = more people thinking about football and basketball baseball's boring
  9. pm returned: Sold (assuming we can meet up and you don't live terribly far from columbus - i assume you're near westerville)
  10. $50 asap and if you took that, i'd buy the filter for your stated $25 too
  11. You can still sue when you're dead. Your estate sues on your behalf I was speaking generally. Referring to him and all others like him. I don't believe he's the first to commit suicide. So there's no reason not to call him a 'he' or a 'creep' regardless of him being dead Yes, I know his sister is suing.
  12. Thanks for posting, but god damn... I'll just assume you're drunk
  13. as you probably know...it doesn't mean he'll get paid they just survived a motion to dismiss for a few causes of action The 'creep' probably said he was due xxx $$$$ because of 30 different reasons. It sounds like they dismissed most of those reasons, but are giving it to a trial for a few of the remaining reasons. The judge won't dismiss unless it's pretty clear that the claims have no merit. So, I guess...it's just showing that even a creep gets his day in court
  14. i thought it was entertaining - thanks for posting
  15. gonna go for far more than it should. . .and fall apart several 100 miles later
  16. Seen the warriors at least a dozen times... Might as well recommend Boondock Saints, too....at that rate I'd consider both rather popular
  17. Anyone have some recommendations for me? If you're anything like my house during these cold months...we're watching a lot of movies - and we're kind of tired of the new release area. Any older or lesser known movies that you'd suggest picking up? I'll start: "he was a quiet man" Damn good - reminds me of 'falling down'. Also, was impressed with "The Brave One" with Jodie Foster (relatively popular, so might not really qualify)
  18. or, they can give him another sham fight or two and have a huge payday and lots more free promotional material in the meantime... (regardless of whether he does well)
  19. Really...the mods need to go through that mess and delete the 40 pages of people saying, "Dude, this is cool." I read the first 24? or so pages (most of it) Gives you a headache trying to peruse it quickly. My notes. #1. Guy got scammed for $400 in cell phones - paid via western union (idiot?) #2. They find the scammer - has myspace and a dozen other accounts online with other forums, cell phone forums, car forums - etc (evidently, he's a multi-scammer) #3. Of course, someone finds his personal information - from his SS# to address to multiple phone #'s, AIM name, etc (which they later hide - mods won't let it be posted) - but they keep the address up there #4. Several people realize he lives right down the street from them. #5. Someone pays a visit after taking pictures of the fella's house. Evidently, he knocks and talks to the guy. The scammer shows him the cell phone 'inventory' - they get pictures of him as well. #6. More pictures of the guy's house...they find out there's a warrant issued for his arrest #7. Cops and other avenues called...they find out the deputy sheriff lives like 3 doors down. #8. The scammer begs the scammed to call off the dogs. Says tons of people are driving by in their mustangs and harassing him. Scammer also says it's his mother's house and not really his - etc #9. (this one should be higher in the list). The guy signs online and they allow him to post around 5 times, before he's kicked off. To say the least, he's a very uneducated black male who acts ghetto and tough. #10. Tons of text message conversations and AIM discussions are posted, which are quite funny and reinforce #9. #11. A tracking # is posted via USPS for supposed delivery of the goods. #12. 40 more pages of crap and I don't know how it ended
  20. indeed, indeed Which is probably...exactly why they chose Tank. Name recognition and no ground game to worry about. Some 160 pound brazillian would probably twist Kimbo's arm into a pretzel about 2 minutes into the fight. Well, maybe not 160 pound
  21. Gah. Still a decent step above Tank, though
  22. +1 So, they'll finally put Kimbo against a decent fighter? I suppose they've done well building up the hype with class B contenders I want to see how Kimbo reacts to someone with a ground game
