Well, i've been getting yelled at this past month by the wife that we need to start clearing out some vehicles off our property. Theres 2 of us and we own 5 cars. So I'm starting out with this and hopefully that'll be enough... Up for grabs is an 89' Lincoln TownCar. It has 98,000 on it. All the gadgets work on it. It has the 5.0 motor, which runs smooth and quiet. It has new tires and exhaust. Blue, with blue interior, digital readout speedo, out beams, climate control, the works. The bad: It has a slight oil leak coming from the oil pan gasket. I have the gasket to replace it(which goes with the car) I just havent had the time to install the new one yet. It doesnt leak too much oil though. It probably leaks about a qt. every 2-3 weeks if driven regularly. Price is $800 OBO i need to move this car before I get my head ripped off. Let me know guys! Wow! Just WOW! That car looks 100x better than it did when I drove it, and even then it wasnt bad. He basically fixed all things wrong with it that was a major issue with me. Thank god he got rid of that exhaust "or lack there of one" that used to be on it. Damn I just bought a 90k mile Lincoln Town Car otherwise i'd be all over this one. Good luck with the sale! This is a clean running car!

What everyone else said is true about the SHOs. If you need any info on them ask me. The MTX sho's liked to throwed diff. pins espesially if you roast the tires off enough. The ATXs were know to be weak trannys, altough mine never gave me any problems. If you go to look at a SHO. A good way to tell if the 60k service was done or not would be to pull one of the spark plug wires and check for oil in there. If there is oil in there, then the 60k probably hasnt been done. The valve cover gaskets, waterpump, belts, o2 sensors, ect. Are to be replaced on a FULL 60k service. As for the V8. Stay away from them unless you know the cams have either been welded or pinned. If not, it'll cost you around 1500-2000 to get them welded to prevent cam failure.

Get a SHO! He cant say its american because although ford makes the body, the engine is all yamaha. Not to mention the SHO will smoke a GTP and they are cheaper.

I have decided to try and part with my 1993 Ford Thunderbird Supercoupe. This think was a beast coming out of the factory. The SUPERCHARGED 3.8l engine made 240hp and 305tq. I have quite a few mods on this car to bring those numbers up quite a bit and make it considerably faster. Details: Black with full grey leather body has 126,000 miles It has a '94 long block with only 30,000 miles Rebuilt trans with extra clutches only 15,000 miles New Supercharger with 10,000 miles It has the majority of options to include moonroof, auto lights, VMM, Auto dim rear view mirror, full power driver and passenger seat, premium sound with CD Player. The leather is in great shape although the carpet could use a good cleaning. Bolt on parts: Tokico/Eibach Lowering Susp. 10% overdirve pulley Trans Cooler 73 MM C&L MAF 36 LB Injectors 190 LPH Walbro fuel pump 28,000 GVW tube and fin trans cooler Trans go shift kit (race setting) "Big Dawg" exhaust with dynomax superturbo's and high flow cats 9" Cone filter Mark 8 11.57" front rotors and calipers Autometer trans temp guage and Autometer air/fuel guage in dual A pillar pod. Yup, once we got to the closing the loan manager from the bank was like: "By the way, are you paying closing costs up front? Or should I add that to the loan? Then he says. There is also a property tax you must pay and we need the first month of the loan paid now too" After rolling all of that into the loan, i am now in this situation. Powers: What did your friend think? I can tell you in all honesty, the damage is not as bad as that photo makes it look.

Explanation. Bought the car probably about a week before I got the house. We went to the bank, and the bank told me monthly payments on the house were only going to be around 400 a month. I didnt think that sounded bad. Well we got to the closing and he didnt figure the property tax and closing costs into that loan. That made my monthly on the house jump from 400 to 655 a month. I took out a personal loan to pay for the car, and im just trying to get out of the loan.
