6 Speed S4

I don't recommend Byers, well atleast their audi dealer. My brother took his 05 A4 1.8t there (Byers Audi) under warranty for a transmission problem, the tech dropped a gear on the floor and it took a few days to get a new part. Then the day after he left he had to have it towed back in because the clutch pedal stuck to the floor. Apparently they didn't bleed the slave cyl correctly. Hes been taking it to MAG ever since with no issues at all.

mainly Saab tech, I go to VW when there's no work for me and occasionally they throw me some Porsche's, Audi's, and lotus'. What position are you?

Does the 05/06 "Saabaru" have the weaker trans as well? I mean 23k miles isn't much but I don't know how hard the last owner drove it.

I'm still not used to putting the key down there sometimes haha. Half the time I put it where all other cars have the ignition and I say "fail" in my head haha.

yeah he has a 9-3 aero FWD this is AWD - subie motor, trans, and drivetrain. Only thing that scares me is the 5 speed trans but I could do a 6 speed swap down the road.

Well they didn't make very many of them so thats why I haven't seen many in. They seem to be pretty reliable. I like the Saab interior vs the WRX interior.

Anyone know about these besides the fact they are glorified subaru WRX Wagons? Im thinking about buying one its an 06 with 23k miles 5 speed, for 12,000, clean title no accidents. I'm going to use this for my daily and maybe do a few bolt ons. I am a Saab tech so I can get the parts real cheap at my work. Any info would be great. Thanks

Switching to synthetic oil should not be an issue for any car besides maybe a minor oil leak. Seamfoam is safe to run through a vacuum line, but I wouldn't do it on a turbocharged vehicle nor put it in the oil because it will destroy turbos and possibly oil pumps.
