  1. I believe that extra work was mostly associated with the newer first gen GTM models. Haven't heard anything about the 818 in particular yet. But fwiw, I have a FF 65 coupe and the builder said it was a smooth as anything he's ever put together. Only sold the car to finance a big block FF cobra build.
  2. <----- Factory Five Daytona Coupe. Chances are you'd be the only guy in town with one and you can make it as fast as you like. 2300 lbs and 500 ponies makes for a fun time!
  3. Was driving around a 3.8 RS last weekend...absolutely awesome cars. Can't wait for the new 4.0!
  4. I too have a '13 passat as the work beater. No issues with it at all..just runs and gets great gas mileage. Not too shabby looking either for what it is.
  5. No issues with mine either...even after a winter of ice racing.
  6. Explain more. Why after 300 miles?
  7. Wicked...I will have one some day!

    New coupe

Thanks guys. I'll post up a few interior shots when it gets here. 50ish is a good starting price on a well built F5 coupe. They go up from there depending on options, brakes, engine, paint.

    New coupe

This is a Factory Five complete kit. Gen 2 non donor build. Four aircraft mechanics did the build in a little under a year... Really high quality. Two layers of sound dampening. No pop rivets, Carpeted, leather ect. I've been looking for the past 8-10 months and this build really blows others away. Power is in the 425 range and she weighed in at 2500lbs. All of the stickers are removable, but period correct to the original 6 cars. And yes it's street legal.

    New coupe

Picked up this toy the other day. I've been wanting one for years and finally found a great build. http://i948.photobucket.com/albums/ad321/r00tts/null_zps959f6eb0.jpg http://i948.photobucket.com/albums/ad321/r00tts/null_zpsc49625fb.jpg http://i948.photobucket.com/albums/ad321/r00tts/null_zpsa68f7e4f.jpg http://i948.photobucket.com/albums/ad321/r00tts/null_zpsb4cfff33.jpg http://i948.photobucket.com/albums/ad321/r00tts/null_zpsc6149609.jpg Ha and they had Shaquille o'neals custom 360 on the same transport. Talk about a giant, that's an average guy moving the car. http://i948.photobucket.com/albums/ad321/r00tts/null_zps6f685baf.jpg http://i948.photobucket.com/albums/ad321/r00tts/null_zpse9ef0262.jpg

Just stop in Colorado. Weed is like fine wine here.
  12. 4.0T would be a great fit no doubt. Perhaps in a few years I could source one from a totaled RS7.
  13. The secret is in those light weight rotors.
  14. Certainly is true regarding fsi and the 4.2 I'm just pointing out that the b7 rs4 can do low 12s with a few simple mods. Carbon buildup is what it is and is a matienance issue with these cars.
  15. Essentially a tune/exhaust car that has gone 12.30 Carbon buildup is an issue on every fsi injected engine. You gotta pay to play;).
  16. I wouldn't say the b7 rs4 "sucks balls". Over on audizine a few guys have run high 12s stock and the jhm exhaust/dp/tune gets you to low 12s. Not too bad for a family sedan. Similar numbers to your beetle.
  17. I have solar for my place. I generate 110% of the electricity that I used last year before I installed the system. We made lots of changes after the install... All led/high efficient bulbs. Greener appliances etc. As it is right now, I pay only on my solar (51bucks) monthly and then my natural gas usage. At the end of the year I should be getting a decent check from the electric company for the amount of electricity I produced and didn't use. Granted this is my house in Denver where we get 300 plus days of sunshine.
  18. My eyesight was very similar. Still the best decision I've ever made.
  19. My insurance did cover...some. It was something like 15% of the price (non sale/specials).
  20. It was the best decision I have ever made. I had it about 2 years ago now and no issues. I paid for a reputable group that provides lifetime annual exams and free "touch ups" if it was ever needed. It's painless...more of a discomfort and pressure during the procedure. Really quick...in and out in only a few mins. I think total was around 3000.
