Crazy I know. Sadly I don't drive this car nearly enough- less than 2k miles in two years. I have a Cayman GT4 on order that keeps getting delayed due to some options which will be taking its place. For now though, I just grabbed a 991 Carrera Black edition that gets most of my attention. If only I had a 6 car garage.

Just picked this up to replace my tdi Passat. Have to say I'm rather stoked- great ride with quite a bit of torque. For me it's been a pickle. I would love to go get a Ferrari 430 scud or 458 and enjoy the hell out of it. But having a vehicle like that in my line of work is bad for business...a 911 is more acceptable and cayman even more so hence my choice of the GT4. Once I get to "fuck you" money, a place where you can walk away if everything goes to shit and still be financially golden, then I'll grab that Ferrari. And like someone else mentioned, only finance below 3% if you do. Keep your money working for you.

Funny...as I read that I heard his voice/accent narrating it for me. Does this review surprise anyone that's driven the car?

Great looking car. I'm not a huge fan of those wheels, but if you like- that's all the really matters.

I'll be back in Ohio around mid June. If you still have it I will maybe take it...hard to pass on a monster of a winter car for Colorado.

It would be fun for a weekend but even then...you're talking 1.5 months payment for 3 days or so.

Colorado is a helluva road trip... But worth it. IMO the best thing about living here are the scenic roads. Tons of twisty canyon runs with small western mountain towns to stay over in. Not to mention all the hiking, rafting, skiing.

Just because a car is "rare" doesn't mean it is valuable. But.....good luck.

The older caymans arent as attractive as the newer 981 models. Porsche has always limited the cayman until this model. I think, like its GT brothers, it will hold its value quite well. No clue about manual/auto nor 4 lugs. I've got a factory five daytona with 430 hp that's fun on the track but really beats you up when driving. A Z06 is a tremendous value for sure but I can't find myself wanting one... They are just blah when I see a vette. A Porsche GT car just has a different feel for me.

I went a little crazy on my options. First time "ordering" a car so I definitely built it how I want it. Agate, pccb, navi, sport chrono, black wheels and wing risers, Lw buckets, yellow/black leather w alcantara. A few others I'm sure I'm missing.. Msrp was 109.

Seems like this car is going to be quite rare. Allocations came last week...around 200 porsche dealers in the USA with only 298 cars to go around this time....with a rumored 300 or so for the next allocation. Dealers that sold 918 get first dibs...luckily my dealer sold 3 and none of those guys want a GT4. So I'm in...July build August delivery.

True. Porsche is notorius for having a laundry list of expensive options. But that's also a good thing...some folks that want a track toy can get a naked gt4 with tons of gt3 goodies for under 85k.
