  1. The problem lies within your own mentality, not Obama's opposition. You assume that the people who do not support him simply do it out of hate and that they do not have intelligent reasoning. Somewhat egocentric, actually. In fact, all of the opposition I saw in this thread was good, rationale reasoning, yet you dismissed it as hatred. Perhaps they do not have hatred, but you have blind-faith. If I truly thought the President wanted to move towards socialized-democracy(this almost makes no sense) of course I'd want him to fail; would you rather him succeed? So you voted for a President who would make those type of people's lifestyles even easier.
  2. Nailed it. If you like and can handle tinkering your phone then Winmo has more to give.
  3. I completely take back my apology for calling you a moron several months ago. Why is it that the President's supporters think that anytime there is opposition to Obama's decisions, that it's purely out of hatred for him or stubbornness to back someone they didn't vote for? Well, it's neither. Chicago is a corrupt hell-hole that I hate going to. I don't want that city representing the U.S.. Not to mention the financial burden YEARS from now. I love how the 2016 Olympics would follow just months before Obama's second term ends(assuming he can win a second term), essentially boosting another Democratic bid for President.
  4. The outrage does not lie with Obama or his administration; it's with the teacher and principal who would allow school children to be indoctrinated without the parents' consent. That is the issue. With the GWB example that you presented; You have presented probably the most logically inequivalent example, short of presenting something that has nothing to do with Presidents and politics at all. The schoolchildren in that case I assume naturally, would have needed permission from parents to travel to the White House. Secondly, they were attending an actual event and not on school grounds being indoctrinated by a supporter of the President who is entrusted by parents not to do so. Lastly, the content of the "song" from that article is not praising any President as the Obama one did. It is a song that more-or-less has to do with patriotism(in the sense of supporting fellow countryman and not necessarily standing behind the President.) Again, the whole situation would be different if the teacher(s) involved would have asked permission of the parents if they could celebrate the President.
  5. I would imagine it's only rape if someone mistakenly stumbles in to the tunnel with no knowledge of its purpose. I'd send my dog in.
  6. I didn't feel like I was actually in college until I transferred to Ohio State.
  7. I have numerous Italian-American family members living in New York right now; all assholes.
  8. Maybe you should consider that circumcision after all.
  9. Must have been someone from here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g2qFfuLy_fs&feature=PlayList&p=2F042A6B39EFEF5E&index=59 At least the response was neat:
  10. I have all of mine. Never a problem and don't plan on having them taken out.
  11. The difference being, however, that those who gamble are doing so by will. I wish that's how all "taxes" worked.
  12. Maybe it was waiting for him to start mounting?
  13. I don't think that that will somehow make his life better. Sit down and make a list of things about your life and self that you want to change and/or make better. Realistic things. Having a wife and family help would be preferable. Have them help you achieve these things. The whole idea of doing this is it will build family bond, confidence, it will keep you busy and once you achieve them, you'll sense pride.
  14. I find this odd, because just a few months ago I found myself judging fans of being "fairweather" or not until I realized that fairweatherers are better than non-fans and are not really a problem anyway.
  15. Yes, because that would make sense that you see the EXACT same people I see in the same part of the city on the same days and that I just happened to miss what you saw. No. I don't buy that you can even spot a "fairweather" fan in the ways you've described. Perhaps on weeks that the Bengals are doing well, you're more attuned to noticing their fans? Or perhaps the games that they lose, their fans that watched the games and wore their jerseys are just saddened and don't want to talk about it. Do you expect every fan to want to go on Facebook and update with "Damn the Bengals lost, but I'm still a fan!!1" every time they lose?
  16. Meh, a fairweather fan is a fan, nonetheless. I really didn't like the NFL after the 1st Browns moved, so I've never been interested after that. So I feel my stance is fairly neutral. Out of all the merch-wearing(jerseys, shirts, hats etc.) fans I see in Columbus, it goes in order from most to least: 1. Ohio State 2. Pittsburgh Steelers 3. Cincinatti Bengals 4+. Consists of Cleveland Indians and Browns and the Yankees Last. And lately I've been seeing more Blue Jackets gear (as verse mentioned earlier)
  17. I will challenge you to that. I have three jerseys and the one I wear to every home game is from the very first season. I'm sweet. Anyway, it's the nature of sports. I question your judgement of "fair-weather" fans in Ohio if you have only mostly lived in Ohio. I've bitched and moaned to people for years about how great hockey is and to come support the Jackets. I want them to get more exposure and sales; yet, the last couple seasons when they've stepped it up (post-MacLean), I hear people accusing others of becoming fans only when they start playing decently. Who cares? Now on that note, Pittsburgh is a horrible city.
  18. You can't prove that. I'm using the same rationale as verse.
  19. ...the Columbus Pitt fans mysteriously disappeared today.
