  1. Honestly I've never been a fan of mustangs!! But, I want a car with the motor pointed in the right direction and something with some power, though I'm considering a bunch of different cars right now the mustang fits the bill, has some power, and a great aftermarket support so if I find one I like I will pick it up. Thanks for all the advice, I'm going to stay away from this particular car and look for a 99 or 94-95 Cobra, the V6 was never on my mind.
  2. Hmm, $30 for some rice and decent looking but bored and could care less models.....Havn't been to one of these shows and at that price I doubt I will make it.
  3. Hmm, I knew they were anemic but I didn't have a chance to get into the throttle. What about a same body style Cobra?? Those had more ponies didn't they?? I'll look around for some 99's as well. Dirtybird, that is a damn nice looking car but I was never a big fan of that bodystyle.
  4. Honestly, $8k is pushing what I want to spend and had no idea what other cars can be had for, just started looking really and I know nothing about these cars.
  5. I noticed a 98 GT today at a small dealership and stopped in and drove it. It's a 5 speed, 129k on the odometer, book puts it best price of $7300 retail and they're asking $8k(so we'll work on that). The car is damn clean, not been modified, and ran very good until it sprung a coolant leak on the test drive. Anything to watch out for with these cars? I really don't know squat about moostangs but it would be a fun car and that's all I'm really looking for. A buddy mentioned his dads car and sisters Crown Vic both had cracked intake manifolds and they weren't cheap to fix.
  6. ^Thankfully mine doesn't have that option, suspension, leather, and the diff are about the only options it doesn't have. I hear the adjustable suspension wasn't the best and had it's issues. Thanks for vouching guys, I will miss this truck but it's but it needs to go to make room for the next purchase.
  7. I like the new Acadia but I hear they get terrible mpg's(even for an suv). The Pilot is damn nice and you can't go wrong with it. I sat in a new Sequoia at the auto show and they're huge inside, power everything and just plain nice!!
  8. Heh, my damn garage door is now frozen shut!!
  9. Those things have LSX' in them?? Damn nice!!
  10. File a police report and follow through with it, they will likely never find the person but they can at least stop it. You will likely need the report to get your money back and definitely contact the credit bureaus so they can monitor your credit just in case. My sister just went through this and it's a PITA!!! It took a couple weeks for her to get her money back though and it may take that long for you.
  11. I'm selling my 94 Pathfinder. It's the SE 4x4 V6 model, automatic. Just over 151k miles. It's very clean and in good running order. All the power options, chrome pkg w/heated mirrors, keyless entry/factory alarm, fog lights etc.... Clarion head unit w/Alpine speakers all around, cone filter intake(I have the stock airbox). Factory sunroof(does not leak). Newer alternator, tires at 70% tread left, maintenance is up to date. Uhaul class II or III hitch w/electric brake controller. The few issues: The fenders have started to bubble in some places and are starting to show some rust, seems to be common with this year of truck. ABS light is on and ABS does not work, I'm not sure what it is but probably a sensor or something. Tire Carrier light is on, carrier stays latched but for some reason the light is on. A small peice of the ceiling right behind the passenger front seat is starting to come down, I'd fix it but I don't want to half ass it and fall down a month from now. The engine is buttery smooth and the tranny shifts perfectly and it's a very reliable truck that gets 20-22mpg when driven easy. Here's a pic: http://i8.photobucket.com/albums/a20/ZeroBar78/Stuff001.jpg I paid $4000 for it and have added the stereo, fixed the keyless entry, and replaced some hoses. I want $4000 for it but may negotiate if I find the car I want soon. PM me if interested.
  12. Rob, though HPDE is the better way to go about it it's a lot more expensive and the number of slots available fills months in advance at times hence why were talking about going to Nelson for a day. I plan on doing several HPDE events this summer and I know Ray will likely be there and I figured you would too, you should come to this day were talking about as well as it will be a ton cheaper and your experience would be helpful to any noobs for sure.
  13. My prices are dead on with what normal aftermarket parts cost, I was not quoting "Mugen" parts prices.
  14. When they just spew heresay and not fact they don't deserve an interview, they're going to distort what anyone says anyway.
  15. Yeah, if you have a decent running beater that you can use for the autocross school go that route as you will get 25-50 runs in or more in that one day!! Ray and I chinked the hell out of his Bridgestones last year at the Evo school and they're a lot cheaper than your tires. As long as you have good tires they will take the abuse better but they will see some good wear.
  16. This one is from a member of this board and well written(in it's grammer).... http://columbus.craigslist.org/rnr/554880259.html
  17. <--those sure don't add up to $6k and I think I was being generous!! ^What a waste, for $6k you could do 4 times those mods and ones that would actually enhance the performance of the car(the wheels look good though).
  18. Can't wait to see that car in action this summer!!
  19. ^^No shit, I was really appalled at the price of this car, especially considering cars of the same price like the S2000, STi, Evo, Z, and others.
  20. Yup, strolled into Honda east and they had a new Mugen Civic. Pretty ugly imo but I couldn't help notice the $30k price tag!! Are you kidding me, $30k?? Yep, then there's a dealer added sticker next to the main window sticker that says..."Market Condition Adjustment, +$6k" for a grand total of $36,000 for a damn Civic!! Might as well buy an S2000 for that, much faster car that's not rice.
  21. Dr. Apex

    Turn on ONN

Cliffs on the video?? Currently on dial-up and cant watch the video. Obviously CR is mentioned in relation to the accident but I'm curious to what the video says.
  22. OVR has it's own drivers school open to anyone and typically the Evo School as well, I remember the MB club having a drivers school(maybe it was a regular event) last year at Ackerman rd, maybe them or the local BMW club??
  23. Hell, I need to look up the date but there's a Rallyx next weekend I think.
  24. When did you get the FD?? It will be a good car for it especially if you keep it TT or dump an LS1 in it.
  25. Yeah, it's a crock of shit and Uncle Sam' way of taxing you twice for the same money. It's not income, just money you overpaid to Uncle Sam that you get back.
