The Lotus was not a local driver, they came from Pittsburgh for the drivers school. Funding definitely plays a big role like in all racing, Andrew has some skill though too and it's not just the car and money in it. Sawbinder, that is a Factory Five Roadster kit car. Still a sweet car and the owner is a cool guy and we talk all the time as we run some very similiar times, though he got me yesterday!!

Gray, you obviously still did quite well winning your class. You still looked smooth to me but now that I think about it you may not of been carrying the speed you normally do. I can't offer any advice on those tires but what Rich says makes perfect sense, road race tires will take a lot longer to heat up. Rich, we had 6 laps and with yesterday's heat shouldn't those tires of been able to build some heat up??

As always very quick. I believe I was within 1 sec of his times yesterday, today a little further behind. Those cars may not corner as well as the S2000 but they more than make up for it in acceleration leaving the corner!!

Hmm, wierd. I checked today and he said it was a GTO club that rented out trails next thursday, maybe not a local club or something. I should be there but only to help run the timing system and setup the course. I need to find some more info online about, when I do Ill post it.

That's a great improvement. DNF's and cones are a way of life in autocross. I saw you driving and you looked smooth the couple times I saw you, patience and smoothness is not easily learned in racing.

Nobody know about this?? I know there are a number of GTO owners on here.

I didn't even realize that was him, I saw him running in my heat. I made some great improvements though I really botched it on my last 2 runs, so I was stuck with a 44.1 best.

I saw one of those once that was twin engined and put out a combined 600hp, it was pretty damn sweet for a tiburon.

I'm told there's a GTO club day or something at Trails on the 27th I believe, I'm sure someone on the GTO forums knows about it. I bring it up because our SCCA region has been asked to hold the autocross for it and I know there are a number of GTO owners on here and their looking for more people to participate in the event as a whole. I believe their going to possibly open it up to other similiar makes as well. Anyone on here going to this?? Obviously I will be there helping with the autocross portion of it.

I think it's $30. Just bring a good running car that can pass a basic tech. They have loaner helmets but if you have one of your own as long as it's "Snell" certified. You need to be there by 7AM otherwise you might not get in as the open slots have been filling up fast.

There will be kids there that will be racing and watching. One of the kids started 2 years ago at age 5 I believe and it's been unreal watching him drive, starting like he is I could easily see him being a future F1 driver!!

Tim, most of the cars there aren't too loud, but there are a few. It's gonna be a hot one, gonna need to bring the canopy for some shade.

Sounds to me like people aren't building their cars right, if you have enough power to break shit off the line maybe you should have better drivetrain parts, maybe spend some money on that and not just the engine. I've been to plenty of drag races, pro and amateur, and the "Fast" cars don't just have engine mods, they have proper suspension and drivetrain parts to handle the load. Personally I don't care either way that much, I understand the reasons people roll race(at least on the street anyway).

I've always worn a helmet. All it takes is a quick fall and you hit your head on a rock or stump and it's over!! Dammit....someone buy my Laser...I'll have it at QSL tonight.

Are they out then?? Or do they still have more games to go?

Matt, be there by 7am if you can, the 30 open slots have been filling fast. Tim, it's at the OSU lot at the corner of 315 and Ackerman right next to the freeway. Racing starts around 9:30am. They have certain rules about kids depending on your kids age. You will at least need to be next to him only in the viewing area on the grass if he's under 12, 12-17 I think can roam around more without supervision. IF your not sure they will have a table setup on the grass usually near the mobile home that you can ask. Just want to make sure your safe with your kid around all the cars. I'll be in the s2k in my sig and my Laser will be there also. Hope to see you guys sunday.

I think were SOL in columbus right now, if there were another place locally I don't know how we never would of heard of it. I went to the ones in Myrtle Beach and they kickass down there, hope we can get something like it here soon.

My Laser can do 80mph, top end!!
