  1. I should be working in grid as usual.
  2. I will be there as I had planned on attending the meeting anyway.
  3. What sucks about this is all the people that are going to nitpick their cars to death, and do so unfairly because their glovebox didn't shut properly one time. I still think Toyota builds a nice car but they definitely have some explaining to do.
  4. I'm not going to be happy about being passed by a damn V6 Mustang at the track with my GT......I'll have to trade mine in on a new 5.0 car next year maybe.
  5. I'm glad you posted this on here, I will be in attendance.
  6. Xterra, plenty of room, rugged, reliable, and affordable.
  7. Matt, when are you heading to Putnam? I've been wanting to go over there as I have some nice video of it and it looks like a nice track.
  8. ^Do you mean 40 degrees and raining like last year on the friday?? That sucked ass. BTW, I'm headed to VIR in October if anyone is interested in going, I've talked to a few people on here that might be going with and it would be great to have a few friends to go down there with.
  9. In. I will be working that first weekend and probably in grid again so I'm sure I'll see some of you up there!!
  10. I've just been reading about the "Cooper Park" plans and the developers are very interested in working with the SCCA and getting local support for this, they plan on paving the entire infield so it can be used for multiple venues. If anyone knows how and where to get involved in this please post up about it!!

    Snow Storm

My Mustang is currently buried in my buddies driveway, I was doing fine until the snow got so deep it's to the bottom of my doors. We're getting the John Deere out as his Tacoma won't budge my car.
  12. Very sorry to hear this, be careful out there John.

    Snow Storm

The roads are finally starting to coat over, time to go have some fun!!
  14. I was just reading that DHL has handed over authority of their site to the city of Wilmington and they recently have contacted one of the local SCCA regions about holding some events there!! Yes, they WANT people to come there to race!! It sounds like OVR is in contact with the right people an maybe we can get in on a joint event down there, nothing is firm right now and I don't officially speak for the SCCA at all but regardless it's a new site that's relatively close and should be a huge expanse of concrete to use. I know I'll be headed there this summer regardless of who holds an event, I've yet to run on concrete but I hear it's addictive!!!
  15. A drain apparantly clogged up and my parking lot is flooded, both my exhaust tips were submerged as I pulled out of my stall this morning and it was just below my door!
  16. I just looked at the RA schedule for the season recently and couldn't find an event there around October, this a sure thing you you up there Feff?? I was possibly planning on doing VIR instead but I'd rather go up there if there's an open event.
  17. I plan on Mid-Ohio for a day and a weekend at VIR, hoping to get a few locals to go down there with.
  18. OVR should post the autocross schedule in Feb.-March roughly, it can get difficult for them to get scheduled around all the other events Trails and OSU have going on.
  19. Don't forget the sticky at the top of this section with all the registration info, I will make sure it's up to date shortly.
  20. Some things are changing for autocross this, particularly with what cars go in what classes so I though I'd try and explain some of what's going on. 1: "STR" class. It's a new class for cars like the S2000, Miata, and various other 2 seat sports cars that never had a home when equipped with street tires. This class is for those cars with street tires of a treadwear rating of "140" or higher with various wheel width restrictions. This falls into the "Street Touring" category rules. 2: Stock classes changing, I personally don't have all the info but the main classes affected are "A,B,and C Stock. A lot of cars are being moved around in these classes. For instance the C5 vette(non-Z06) are moving to A-stock from Super Stock and such. The FD RX-7 is moving as well but who cares since there are no stock Rx-t's out there!! Here is the link with the new rules: http://scca.org/contentpage.aspx?content=61 Torwards the bottom are PDF files with the rules and car classifications. I will try to awnser any questions people have. If you have more questions or want to keep up with the local autocrossers on their forum go to http://forum.ovr-scca.org/ There are many veterans on there that can help and anything goin on with our region will be posted in there. XBOX 360 or PS3?

360 for me, much better library of games and I much prefer the controller. If you don't mind the lack of games IMO the Playstation is more reliable.
  22. I saw this in 3D at Marcus Pickerington, took some getting used to but very cool stuff. I did notice the occasional blurry spot but it wasn't bad. I would assume Marcus uses the Real3D??
  23. Now they just need to drop that iron slug off the rear end and give a "20"th century suspension!!
  24. Good to hear, should be interesting to see those cars on that track. Tinman, some buddies and I are going to RA this coming fall if they have a late date on the schedule, maybe interested in going??
