  1. Yes, stock mounts and bearings. Ill try that. Thanks man. I can do that.
  2. I expected more from your post sir. You disappoint.
  3. I put a wrench on everything removed/replaced. Nothing was loose. Ill come by this weekend if u are free.
  4. If you remember, one was a bit stiff and one seemed to rotate in a different manner, not rotations the same pieces as the other. Oh well. Now that I know how to do it, it wont be bad to replace them. I will be getting one of those special sockets for the strut nut though.
  5. I was told the beetle was his wifes. So pop on you.
  6. They said replacement is covered per part. So I pay for new and then refunded the defective parts. I don't want to take it all out for just bearings so I will prob buy new oem mounts and bearings to be safe. Other than that I freaking love my new summer setup.
  7. I don't think it is the subframe but I will be purchasing the audi/passat bolts and spacer shims soon. $12. I had to see what the return policy was for ecs. I might buy all new mounts/bearings for the front. Remember the 2 bearings did not behave the same when we looked at them. That is my guess. Yeah its certainly not loud or anything. I know its there and I focus on it.

    6/10

Ill come out for a ride in the miata but that's it
  9. Yeah there are no helper springs or any of that. I checked the nut on the top that holds the strut to the mount/bearing. All tight. I think it is a faulty strut bearing.
  10. Assuming u cleared the codes from before? Check golfmkv.com or vwvortex.com.
  11. PSS10's are not known to have binding issues. Can you elaborate on how to check this? Not sure what you mean.
  12. Everything has been triple checked except the mounts/bearings as I haven't wanted to take everything out to do that. Still researching. If anyone is free to take a ride to hear it let me know.
  13. agreed. I have read countless times on VW/Audi cars where the majority of the coils will go at once.
  14. Looks like u need to get a coil and see if there is more than one bad. Replace each coil with new one and see if it fixes it. If not more coils might me needed.
  15. Check them for what? They are attached, and tight lol. They looked fine when I was under there. These cars have notorious subframe issues. Clunks galore. Mine hasn't had any until after the suspension install. Stock bolts are only threaded last inch or so. Audi/Passat bolts are threaded all the way.
  16. Sounds good. C&C is a great time. Low stress, great people and a good time.
  17. I doubt it. Car is only 2 years old/40k miles.
  18. This has me thinking it might be the subframe bolts, but I probably won't be that lucky.
  19. I can't hear any noise above 10ish mph. It is bump related, and when I stop and the weight transfers back it will thud. It almost feels like the car shifts a bit when coming to a stop.
  20. super slow lol Pads are new last summer with rotors, lines and fluid
  21. That might work for your mountaneer, samwise, but not my car.
