Drove the SS camaro. Hated it. Felt like a truck. Interior was horrific. Mustang owns camaro now. I will be on the look out for a nice second car at some point. Prob e36 m3 for tracking to be honest.

Its not a matter of IF I can drive it all year, it is whether I WANT to drive it all year. I am quite large, and even though I fit in the mustang, it isn't nearly as comfortable as my GTI is. I have to consider these things since it would most likely be my only car. The answer usually is, that I am not willing to compromise enough to get me the "better" car. I have done this before, and been unable to pull the trigger.

If it happens, I will be there.

Married, no kids, 2 med/large dogs. Drive to work is about 10 miles, and I usually go home for lunch. So 40 miles per day. I am averaging about 20k per year so far on my GTI. Just curious what other people thought of the current car climate of high mileage economy cars and fantastically powered sports cars/sedans. To me, minus the 5.0 and the upcoming Golf R, there isn't much that I like short of the B8 S4 and E92 M3. I am hoping that the new A3 is nice, and that they bring an S and RS3 in about 5 years.

Yeah, the cobras with low mileage are low 20's. The cheapest 5.0 is a 2011 with 5k miles for 26900 with a 6/100k warranty. I did look at the GTO's. The LS2 ones are amazingly priced.

I am quite large. My brother in law bought 2 new vehicles. New 2012 5.0 and a new base model 2012 f150 daily. lol They are certainly awesome.

I know. Just saying that there are cars I could buy for 30k with no warranty, but the idea of the 6-800 car payment and having to fork over the repair bills is not an option.

warranty? There is a loaded 2011 mustang with 18k miles. Beautiful. CPO warranty for 6/100k. 29.9k from dealer. Prob get it for 28k. Will have at least 4.5 years and 82k of warranty while you are paying on it for 4-5 years.

seats were horrible I liked it, but heavy, bad gas mileage and above all, seats made me sore after the 30 min drive home.

Its not that I questioned whether or not it is a sweet car, because it is. I questioned me wanting to drive it in the winter, rain, when tired, etc. Great thing about the German cars is that they are a great place to be every day of the year.

I have been going back and forth between selling my car, or not. The only car I can find that I like, and can afford, is the new 5.0. Having driven Audi and VW for the last 6 years, it is very hard for me to get away from them. Haha, d'oh! Yeah, tell me about it. Trying to find info on improving dynamics on the car is pretty hard amongst the sea of farki. Lol For sure. Going to order the new mounts and bearings soon and get the suspension done, then I am game. I completely agree. Never think it looks good on camera. Thanks.

This might be changing soon. Might troll chris this weekend. :gabe: Actually, it has Bilstein PSS10 coilovers on it. About 3/4 inch lower in front and a 1/2 inch lower in the rear. I am going to spin them down lower after I get the noise fixed. These coils don't go low though. Performance oriented. I might get them redone next year darker. I didn't want black though. I am very happy with the oem silver though. Thanks.
